Well that would be fantastic if whole housing districts weren't completely sold out of apartments on my server. You cannot get one if you want to live in the Glade or Shirogane here, I imagine Mist is the same situation. Doubtless there are plenty left over in the despised Goblet and Ishgard apartments will eventually run out as well. This situation is going nowhere fast.

Hopped on my Spriggan alt, picked Lavender Beds ward 17 at random and went to the Lily Hills subdivision apartment building. Only 27 of 90 apartments are occupied.

Went to the main ward as well just for giggles - only 40 out of 90 occupied.

There you go - two Glade apartment building waiting to help you. You're welcome.



Yes, the house situation is terrible. Few players like how it is. The housing situation in general is not. If people are going to talk about housing, not houses, they can't arbitrarily dismiss apartments.

Apartments are part of the housing system, If you complain about lack of housing when there is clearly housing available, it's easy for SE to dismiss player complaints as unwarranted and dramatic.

Let's focus on houses in that case.

No yeah I agree. To the people who say use apartments in the meantime, I say no! I do not want to. They feel like a bandaid, a waste of my gil (I am just an average players so I don't have all this gil to spare like some may!) It is a waste for me to get an apartment or an fc room only to not be able to store/use half the stuff that still bogs down my retainers and saddle bag.

Really hope they clear things up at the very least. I know the full fcs wards won't stay full fc wards, but it's one small issue in a sea of many. And sure, there's a lot of good things about housing! But that's not whats on all of our minds right now, especially when we cannot access it to begin with due to demand.

I logged in to upvote this post despite being a happy house owner. Either give us proper instanced housing or open new wards when all the plots are taken! If any player wants a house, they should be able to get one without some silly RNG game! This is a supply & demand issue that can't be fixed with the lottery. Some people might not win a house for years.

It is a waste for me to get an apartment or an fc room only to not be able to store/use half the stuff that still bogs down my retainers and saddle bag.

Really, at level 90, the 500,000 for an apartment is nothing to obtain. The apartment too, as a stopgap housing while you wait on a house, will allow you to put out items in your retainers, and once you have that house, remains with you as a storage room for 130 indoor housing items. That's almost a retainers worth of indoor housing stuff you can store on it forever.

The apartment too, as a stopgap housing while you wait on a house, will allow you to put out items in your retainers, and once you have that house, remains with you as a storage room for 130 indoor housing items. What is worth it to you is not worth it to me. Sorry you disagree but it is simply Not Worth it to me* (edit). I don't know how else to say it.

Plus, how is it childish to not participate in a feature I think is a waste? I'm not forcing anyone else to do so, nor am I belittling others who do. For those it's enough for, I am genuinely glad. But for me there is no fulfillment in an apartment I am just going to leave behind. We will have to respectfully agree to disagree.

Why does everyone seem to think it is their problem? I'm not asking y'all for ideas or solutions. I am giving my opinion. I know that's a bit controversial.
