I mean, in that case, you're agreeing with me. Basically, to debate, you're forced to argue with one single person and ignore the rest. Even then, it often devolves into a case of that one person who was chosen to be argued with starting to absorb the arguments of everyone else on their "side", which still leads to the other person having an endless exhaustive parade of arguments to trudge through.

And even then, forums posters tend to get annoyed when two people have a private argument back and forth that ignores the rest of the thread.
