Because those are the questions YoshiP would actually ask. In case it's gone over your head, the more broad the requests, the more vague he feels they are. If I had dime every time I caught him saying "I don't understand", I'd have enough money to cover 3 years worth of subscription.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

It’s not a bad idea, but unlike many other older MMOs, what people wear doesn’t really tell you a whole lot.

Back in FFXI, you could have 2 or more complete outfits that you would swap out mid fight to maximize damage/attack speed etc. so, seeing a player wearing a particular hat or pants told us a lot. Basically, mmos with horizontal progression allowed us to see gear and see what kind of build the player was going for.

Here, not so much. Even so I wouldn’t mind a super generic..like everyone wears their job AF, or as you suggested just the actual gear they are wearing.

I like the AF suggestion, a lot.

Man, I really hate those other players around me in my MMO. Should we also have a "no names" option? Replacing them with something neutral. Say... "Eager Scholar". Or "Eager Paladin". And so on.

    Oh, wait a minute...

They’d just actually wear the bikini or frog suit just to troll you.
I actually still do this, as I'm too lazy to use glamour plates (that and I find the plates too restrictive with their "replace all appearences at once" where as I like to mix and match), so I often switch into glamour gear as gear rather than glamour when RPing or whatever.

It's really not that hard to just ignore and not think about what other players are doing etc.
I legit don't understand why people get so hung up on this, it almost seems like people get upset about it on purpose just because they want to enforce their views and never see anything they might dislike.
    It's just '' Karen '' behaviour.
It's kind of a immature and self-centered mindset imo, why would you be entitled to have these options catered to you specifically?
As soon as we open up this door of '' I don't like it, therefore we need an option to hide it '' you enter a realm of absurdity where people can want for these options left and right with so much else.

And ofc this all ends up being about sexualized costumes, this is just really a personal issue on your end that quite frankly you kinda need to get over and grow up a little about.
If you go outside or enter any space where other people are around you're gonna have to deal with not approving of everything people do.
It's hard to sympathize with you when you're being so derogatory and loaded about how you talk about it too.
Why do you need an option because of your personal views on this, what if I don't like edge lord characters and I have to see DRK's run around in their artifact gear should I not get an option to hide that too?
Or what about people who think that Lalafells are creepy, should they not get an option to turn them into another race too then?
Same with people who are upset about Miqo'te etc?

People also glam themselves to express their character, it's their character and they get to choose how they do that and people do it because they want their character to exist that way in the world it's how they choose to present themselves same with race choices and anything else.
I don't think that just because you might not like it that you should get to enforce how they appear in the world even if it's optional tbh.
Why are you entitled to this but not others?

If you're implying here that women don't glam their characters this way too then you probably need to touch some grass and stop projecting your views about this unto other people.
I see quite a lot of men talking on behalf of women about this.

I fail to see how any of this is any more or less rehashed than the same identical artifact armor PLD or DRK with the Heavensward relic weapon or the Eureka Elemental armor or Genji/ Oni PvP SAM cosplay.

I actually forgot about what it was like without glam/ transmog until I played WoW Classic and then I remember how important it is lol.

Glam used to be unlocked only at 50 XD So we all looked pretty hobo up to that point

To the OP, back when I played EverQuest we could just dye our armor. And our tanks (usually ogres and trolls) would dye themselves rainbow so they could be seen easily in raids. So I'm very unbothered by anything anyone uses in this game. Seeing a rainbow colored ogre tends to do that to someone.

I normally support options but I'm torn on this one. There are people who will intentionally wear something they know will appear naughty with mods, but someone is only affected by that if they use the mod. It's a normal item to anyone else. Glam is a way that people express themselves and using it is baked into the game. We know in character everyone is wearing their armor and we're just putting a different look over that. It's also a way people display their achievements. And sometimes we have to be confronted with things we don't care for. I hate the ShB and Ixion mounts. They're ugly and I would prefer not to see them. But I don't get to call the shots on what mounts someone else uses. I'm not even going to get into development resource questions and risk versus reward. I can understand the argument for immersion, but I counter that glam is part of the immersion so I'd say I'm in the camp that doesn't really see where this is necessary and actively removes an element of the world.

I want to give OP the benefit of the doubt on this but like, this "suggestion" just makes me think of the gremlins in the Lakeland fate that scream things like, "Your face! It's breaking my immersion!" and "Your fashion sense is bad and you should feel bad!" Like even if you're being 100% serious it just gives me pearl-clutcher vibes. You can't control what people wear no matter where you are and honestly I think it's more a thing you gotta work on if it truly bothers you that much. Like yeah I get mildly annoyed when I see an outfit that I don't want to see but I'm able to just sigh and move on.
