    No glamours option

Not even sure why this would be controversial and isn't in the game already but there should be an option to strip everyone of glamours on your clients side, hear me out. I played since ARR, life was good, yeah everyone wore the same darklight armour but that told you a lot and it actually felt like an mmo and it actually felt like a game and not glorified sims 3 with naughty mods installed, not everyone wants to see your characters b***s or b*ttocks or some other abomination, how can you say that it's ok to force people to see your ridiculous unfunny immature outfits that are an eyesore or casual outfits that completely ruins my experience, what about my experience? Why should they have the power to make such a ridiculous and sexually explicit outfit and I have no option to not see it? "Just don't hang around in such places" how does that solve anything when they're literally in dungeons, trials and raids, every bit of content there is always someone wearing something inappropriate, if I wanted skyrim with mods I would play skyrim with mods.

Even so I wouldn’t mind a super generic..like everyone wears their job AF, or as you suggested just the actual gear they are wearing.

You can't actually see any of that modded stuff in game.

Some people still manage to dress kinda cringe. Oh well. There are worse things that could happen.

this should be a standard for every single online game out there, an option to disable all cosmetics
I don't understand why that's not an option legally enforced
I don't want to see catboys in marketboard glams dyed in metallic purple

does it affect the bottom line of sqex? yes, so does banning lootboxes, giving games age ratings and all the regulations they have to go through

It definitely tells me the game looked hella boring at some point and thank YoshiP for allowing to expand beyond what an mmo is supposed to look like or to be.

Now, while I'm a fan of qol toggles, what is the no glam option is supposed to look like? Just on long grey robe? AF armor? Smallclothes? Instead of just complaining, how about you go further into what you actually want to see?

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

On the topic of darklight armor telling you about a player, what about us players that are using our UWU/UCOB/TEA weapons or old savage gear as glam? That's a way people use glam to show you their achievements. I see my share of glams I don't care for but I just don't look at the character if I don't want to see it, not really hard. I mean, unless someone's in a chicken suit or something I never even know what other people in my group are wearing because I'm always zoomed out. I'm not sure how glamour makes the game feel less like an MMO when WoW has had transmog since what, WotLK or Cataclysm? And correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Everquest 2 and Elder Scrolls Online also have their own glamour type systems? Sounds like an MMO feature to me.

There's ultimately only so many times you can see a lalafell in a frog suit before it stops being funny and starts being annoying. So I know exactly what you mean OP, and if it was up to me, game systems would lean in favour of immersion, but considering we have bikini tanks and healers in plate armor, elephant suits, frog suits and modern day casual wear, that battle has already been lost, so in my eyes it's a bit of a waste of time to complain in all honesty. This community rehashes the same tired "funny" and "sexy" outfits constantly and I dont expect it to change anytime soon. Let's be real as well, all you ever see are those disgusting metallic dyed outfits, looking like the person just stepped out of a neon factory in the 80s.

Most times I'm stood in a city, wearing armour, or whatever I think fits the jobs identity, and I'm surrounded by ERP predators, frogs, skimpily clothed catgirls(men) etc. People are free to make their choices. I'm also free to judge them for it. Such is the way of the world

I think it pretty obvious it would be whatever armour you are currently wearing, why is this even a question?

So... You'd see an ugly mishmash of random pieces... And also still the pieces you don't want to see because people would just wear that in town instead of having it glamoured lol

I remember before glamour was a thing, I use to wear outfits I liked instead of my best gear when not doing dungeons and stuff. When doing dungeons, I would change to my good gear, but once I’m out, back to my outfit I liked. This is probably what would happen out of spite of the complainers of people’s gear. They’d just actually wear the bikini or frog suit just to troll you.
