Waiting for people to come here and say "but you don't have to play FFXIV, you can go play other stuff and wait for 6.2"

How is this a bad thing? The reason I can't stand WoW is because the game literally demands me to log in EVERY DAY to keep up. That kind of "content" turns the game into a chore. FFXIV has a major content update every 4 months which is a perfectly fine schedule. You don't have to play every day and that's a good thing. So yes, take a break, go play something else.
