If you don't get what is the point of savages and ultimates, then it seems like you simply did choose the wrong game. If you want daily grinds to get better gear to get harder battles, i think that you would be better playing Wow or Lost Ark.

Also if you are that lost on a theme-park mmo like FF14 when it comes to its end game content, then you definitely don't want to try sandbox mmos XD
I'm not lost at all. But endgame is something to do when you have finished the game. And 99% of the thing you have in this game can be done BEFORE finishing the game. Thus, it's not endgame

Sandbox MMO you can do whatever you want whenever you want.I was a miner, a ganker and a fuel rat in elite dangerous for years. There was not fake endgame, it was just a game and you made your own game yourself.

Endgame speak for itself, it something you can do AFTER ending the game... So...

Something you gotta kinda wrap your head around with FF is that the MSQ is the original point of the game. The side content...let's be real, not a lot of people do all of it in order as you progress the MSQ. Some do, but most put it off until after they finish the story. Once you finish the story, you are in end game and all of the side content that you didn't touch because you were trying to finish the story becomes end game content.

That's how it works here. You're going to have to change your definition of what "end game" means or at least accept that your way of thinking isn't the only way to play the game here. If you're basing it just off what is level 90 content, yeah...you're going to be disappointed because we're early in patch content and they space it out across multiple. We're getting a new deep dungeon soon that might be more appealing.

Otherwise, there's pvp and a variety of older content to dip your toes into while you wait.

Then we totally don't have the same concept of "end game". Seems like you are fixated on the idea that it is something to obligatory do at max level, with endless grinds to get better gears to get harder battles. For me my end game is just the goal i choose to reach at the moment with what the game provides me. For example a few months ago, on a sandbox game, my end game was to finish my port area with an oil rig which was the hardest craft to do in the game. I wasn't max level with the best stuff, and i didn't care.

I can even have several ends game at once. My currents ones are to get the zonure treasure maps achievements, and to continue getting some old relics. Is that max level content ? Nope. Do i care about the fact that it isn't lvl 90 hardcore activities ? Nope as well.

That being said, it is still doesn't change the fact that with your way of thinking, you would be better on Lost Ark, or on "this game don't value the players's time" World of Warcraft.

The first mistake was comparing FFXIV to a sandbox mmorpg
