Dyeable Glam
Achievements and glam are the real tangible rewards, anything else is subjective.
... What item drops? No savage reward can be used to be sold at the mb to incentivize personal progression, which in my opinion is a double edged sword since it removes a reason to do this content more than once.
The rare item drops you might be referring to is prob from extreme trials.
XIV has and never will much about chasing ilvl.
Play it for fun or don't. Also, you use the BiS from current savage to do the Ultimate.
As someone who quit WoW after a decade of high end play to get away from mandatory content, the move to KMMO style grinding and the absolute brutalization any kind of prog takes on you if you don't boost, I far prefer it like that.
I just want dungeons. Something with meaningful dungeons. 6.2, please god give me something I can use.
That's what i'm gonna do, this is the best advice i had for nowXIV has and never will much about chasing ilvl.

But dungeon are so easy... and to be fair, endwalker dungeon are tasteless in compare of shadowbringer one. Except the 6.1 one with the rubberball, it's fun though.
Please give us real dungeons with new style of mecha and something else to do inside except packing mob and killing boss.
Yes, but i dare you to go now on PF and do P1S and P2S if you never did it (only traning group because let say you never killed it). Even if you learn the mecha by heart, i dare you to do that, coming back here and telling me you had fun
Or even better, i dare you to go on endsinger extreme on PF and tell me you had fun
ALSO, you said for fun, but by the look of your lodestone, you never did any savage; and never did much extreme except older one. So, yeah, your opinion means very little to me![]()

They are right tho, you mainly do it for fun. You are trying to PF it very late into the tier, by that point most people even slightly serious about savage have long cleared by now (and possibly moved on to dragonsung). You could try looking for a static or just wait to start on the next tier in 6.2.Yes, but i dare you to go now on PF and do P1S and P2S if you never did it (only traning group because let say you never killed it). They're happy to a point. However, it makes many people annoyed that they have to go through the savage process to get a better version of the gear they already earned, i.e. it being dyable. Raid gear is some of the nicest gear in the game. Still, the savage loot not being unique and affecting the quality of the looks on the standard version makes it insufferable after a while, especially when you may have to wait for it two-three yrs for a single complete dyable armour set. It doesn't make people want it more either it makes them want it less and is disappointing, so it has the opposite effect. Some people only play the game for loot and don't think savage is that fun, not because of the challenge but because you wipe because of a random person and the need to schedule raid nights consistently.Hey all,
I started savage couple weeks ago, it's difficult but not that difficult either.
I'm actually on P3S and learn the mecha with my roster.
I wonder though, BIS taken appart, what's the point of the savage content? Just killing demanding boss?
For what? You can be full 600 ilvl (except weapon 595) only with memoquartz. What's even the point of learning and training hours just for killing a boss who gives you nothing really important.
I'm just curious, everyone seems so happy with how the actual endgame content are right now but i don't get it.
Even if you farm and you have everything BIS, in the next big patch when new ilvl release, the stuff from crafting will be 10 ilvl more than your actual BIS.
What's the point? How do you guys don't be bored of farming something that are not more useful than the other one which you don't need to farm to have it but just wait weeks and weeks...
You can't use your stuff on PVP and every roulette are sync so, your stuff means nothing, except for helping you killing the savage you already kill.
Even doing ultimate gives you nothing more except a skin... It just feels weird.
The gear grind doesn't even matter after two patches. They will just give you good catch up gear, and you will be the same as everyone else. You might as well leave the game until two patches before a new expansion, and you will be fine after 1-3 days of daily roulettes and not have to suffer through arbitrary currency caps etc.
This game suffers from the worst parts of an MMO and doesn't have the best features as it's more a focused linear narrative with no intrinsic character customisation such as talents etc. The overall end game is great for 1-3 months, but after that, it's a pointless and unnecessary grind in futility. Even the relic weapon grind is meh, and zones like Eurika and Bojza are dull, bland and 15yrs out of date when it comes to MMO design. The game focuses all of its effort on the story and doesn't develop long-lasting fun content for a player throughout the two yrs. They could have done this with the season pass in PVP, but there is no real reward for time and effort other than an adventurer plate frame that no one cares about or wants to look at.

Exactly my thought. There is no endgame, just running around and doing some hard content for glam. But it's all meaningless. They're happy to a point. People who said "yeah but it's the same in every other MMO" cleary didn't try some other one less known by people.
When you arrive at the end of the story in a MMO, it's where the game really begin normaly. The grind for better gear to do the hardest boss/raid. Those raid gives you better stuff to go on big battle faction vs faction and you're rewarded for everything of the hard things you did. Your character is more powerful, and you can kill/heal/buff more people on the pvp battlefield.
Here, nothing.... OH yes, take your mount (which is the same speed as the basic one) and your dyable costume and shut it LOL (OH, and don't forget to brag about it in limsa while afk).
