To you, it doesn't make sense, the game is a 13+. It will have children playing it, and yes, it is worse in many cultures. The children's argument makes complete sense parents don't want corporations to introduce their children to these subjects. It's not complicated. The Flordia senate in the US is going through legislation to deal with Disney on that exact matter, and Disney has torture, rape and death in it, and it's marketed towards children. The middle east, Africa, South America, and the far east also have stricter policies toward sexuality than those other topics.

Does that make it morally right? It doesn't matter. That's the way people react to it. Some cultures in Asia won't even allow you to hold hands or kiss in public. Your standards are not the standard of the majority of people who are deeply religious.

I love it when one person speaks for an entire group of people.

For real though, bit of a head scratcher to be fine with kids being exposed to violence (especially in a time when mass shootings and race based attacks are on the rise) but not topics regarding self-identity so they can accept and understand everyone for who they are. Definitely going to side eye a bit.

I didn't say I say I was speaking for everyone. This issue is about parents having the ability to teach their children about these subjects in their way. That could be along ethnic/cultural/religious lines without having external cooperation instigating that conversation before they feel that their children are ready for it, which is many parents are very aggressive to these issues because many parents still think that it's a parent's duty to parent rather than outsource their responsibilities to a third party.

I grew up learning about my history before learning about gender identity. That had a lot of murder, rape, and pillaging in it, especially considering the history of my country and family considering how my clan was known as mercenaries founded by a Hungarian warlord in the 13th century and descended from Vikings and geals who killed or assimilated every native tribe in the country until the Romans. I also was taught in the theological background, and yes, I was taught about exodus by the age of 6, which was the enslavement of the Jews, as well as mass genocide by god on the descendants of Cain, as well as David who went onto to become the king of Isreal. Did your school not teach religion?

You must have had a very sheltered life, but I grew up in a highly sectarian part of Scotland where clashes between Catholics and protestants happened every time there was a football match, and people died. I'm not American so I can't support it. I merely said what was happening and the reasons they are doing it because I can listen to people. I also understand the reason why would disagree with that. Demisexuality is basically astrology for sexuality and doesn't exist in past ages it would have just been called getting to know someone or waiting until marriage.

No, I read it but the problem is your assuming that since I would read something that you have read, I would somehow come to the same conclusion. This is why you feel the need to tell people to educate themselves when not even you are educated on the subject. It's really disingenuous, and if you cared about people educating themselves, you would give them both sides of the argument and not just the side you prefer.

The majority of the article was the opinion and speculation of the author, and I ain't the author. I am not American; I am old-world European, and we have very different standards and values to you. What you consider homophobia and transphobia we call tame. We have a really dry sense of humour in northern Europe.

The world isn't America, and society isn't all about the LGBT community, and it shouldn't be. If people don't want certain subjects being taught in school, it shouldn't be because the only person in society who has the right to teach children and confer that right to others is the parent or guardian of the child.

The only time the state should get to decide is when that child is a ward of the state. If you don't like that too bad.
