The only conditions being that in order to get deeper into the content, you need to do the MSQ and whatever other quests are required to unlock that content. In the case of apartments and housing (correct me if I am wrong, any of you out there) all that is required is to achieve a rank of 1st Lt in your Grand Company and then have enough Gil on hand to be able to make the purchase/bid (oh yes, and unlock access to that particular housing district). THAT IS IT. If those conditions have been met by somebody who has played only a few months compared to how many years you have played, well, too bad, they have just as much right to access that content as you. Those are the rules of the game. YOU are the one trying to inject additional conditions. For what reason, I am not certain but it certainly smacks of some form of perceived superiority for having played longer or earned more Gil. Newsflash, the price on the placard is the price of admittance for entering the Lottery for that property. Having ten times as much Gil doesn't mean a thing beyond being able to enter that Lottery.
I'm not making any antagonistic statements, nor am I attacking anyone personally. Nor am I "Trying to inject my conditions." I'm simply stating that an objectively fair system does not exist, and then presenting example of other things that someone could make an argument for more fair depending on their values on which fairness is being debated. I ask that you please refrain from any personal attacks on what I know or understand.
