Still waiting for SAM changes to be reverted

Title says it all. I can't be bothered to run content on any other job and now I just idle in Ul'dah or at my house all day and watch youtube. The only reason I'm still subbed is because I have friends here. I just really hope Squeenix listens to player feedback and does the right thing because I'm not sure how much patience I have left before I decide to unsub for good.

You can still play SAM since it is not deemed dead as many declared to be.

With that said, don't expect any potential changes to sam until 6.2 which wont be until around late July, early August.

OP’s protest seems to aggravate further pressure as though the whole DPS forums is vastly over populated with SAM posts.

I am not going to sugar coated but be direct & it’s absurd for anyone to beg further for changes or “else i unsub” basically puts you on that tantrum.

All in all continue to live under this illusion which otherwise hasn’t given much fruit.

I feel ya but if you like busier jobs that can still do really good damage I'd say try out Nin. It took me a bit of time to start doing Samurai like DPS with em but now I'm clearing Endsinger EX with em and topping the charts doing so.

Or alternatively try leveling other jobs in general. I found a few to be surprisingly fun when I thought they wouldn't be (such as DNC).

I do still hold out hope for a SAM revert though as I'm never touching the now brain dead and boring job again until that point, but at the very least there are other jobs out there you may have fun with. (Until SE decides to destroy them as well).

You can adapt and still have grievances. I'm only continuing to play sam because I don't feel like grinding a gear set again for another job. If MNK was more like pre-endwalker MNK I'd switch to that, but its not so I pretty much only play sam during raid nights and will likely switch to a new job during the next raid tier.

Current SAM isn't fun. Adapting to the changes doesn't change the fact that the way sam plays now is horrid and literally every single sam player agrees that its horrid. We got hagakure back during shadowbringers, so its entirely possible we can get kaiten back and the auto crit removed in the next major patch for endwalker.

A friend of mine was in the top 10 for DSR world first clears. Normally he plays DRG, but he also enjoyed SAM quite a bit during ShB and early EW, so I asked him what he thought of the 6.1 SAM changes. His response was "total trash" and then he went on to say how he keeps at least three melee dps leveled and geared at all times because you never know when SE's "balancing" is going to come along and ruin things.

Adapting isn't the problem. That's easy. What people are saying is that we don't like what we're adapting to.

And the devs specifically said to offer our thoughts and feedback after trying the changes in 6.1 back when they did the patch notes reading a month ago. Hence why so many have suddenly popped out of the woodwork to say the change to SAM isn't great.
