Because we're only allowed 3000 characters per post, here's the rest of it. Kaiten wasn't a big brain ability, you used it at specific points. But it had synergy with the rest of the kit to dictate what you can and can't do to maximize it, which maximizing it is technically only needed if you do savage or ultimate content because of the demands it puts on the player. Pulling out a piece of the machine puts samurai in the position it is now. The opposite, an overflowing of kenki which would've necessitated more kaiten use, would've been the problem if shinten was pulled instead. Hell, people hated midare setsugekka so much they ended up making a meme rotation that Square ended up having to buff the iaijutsus and shoha just to get people to use the intended rotation. You don't see that as a problem with how they set up the class, that they didn't even think about fixing something like that? It really comes across as a hack-job that they put together because someone complained their numbers were tiny and they wanted to be good too.

But I've fallen off my point. If they want to fix samurai, then the class needs a proper rework. Something that doesn't come out of left field, has time to be digested, and processed properly, and not before a major mid patch content drop. Guess what these changes were? The literal opposite of that. And that, is why people are angry. And many of us are staring at the gear set we invested time into collecting, that is time gated by a cap, by the way, for a role that lacks the feeling that it used to have.

REVERT SAM 6.08 AND FUSE ALL THE USLESS OGCDS. SAM is and always will be my raiding class. I DONT USE AOE. STOP GIVING US 100 AOE BUTTONS.

They have yet to address this mess up. For some reason they can acknowledge, apologize and address everything from RMT advertisements, to PvP hacks to lewd plates and housing lottery as well as buffing BLM PvP and also address BLM PvP overtuned and then adjust BLM PvP changes it in a very short time span... but not our SAM changes!!
