And then you have the times where people have posted actual screenshots, trying to blame the other players for doing the bad, and they themselves are the ones who were being absolute prats. There is a certain disconnect with a lot of people on how they actually speak & act, and I imagine these are the same people that claim they've been falsely suspended/banned and spout the "don't talk in-game" mantra.

As for the people complaining & making awful comments outside of the game and/or forums....kudos to them for knowing where it's appropriate and where it isn't. This is lost on too many people. It's really not that hard to at least be civil to the randoms you interact with in-game while venting in a safe-space somewhere else.
Well, I didn't speak and I got warned* (in-game). I don't think it's exaggerated at all, I think it just requires people to report the player. A lot of people get by, because they simply aren't being actively reported for what they are doing. It also probably depends on the GM.

One of my forum bans is for "profanity", by the way. When you get banned on the forums, they show you what it was for, my post was self-censored. I didn't actually use the word. So you certainly can (could) get banned for curse words on here, and I'd rather not risk doing it in-game.
