    What we do know about the future of crafting:

    1) the system for the most part wont change what it is now at its heart
    2) how we obtain recipes is going to change, they will be obtained from leveling, and from questing. You will not have access to all of them all the time like we do now.
    3) the main changes coming are going to be how the abilities within crafting itself works.



    You can seriously tell who is a crafter anmd who isnt in this thread, the good ideas are the onces that enhance the system and the bad ones from the non crafters pretty much demand they destroy the system as a whole

    When you say "people" do mean all people? the majority of people? If so, NOT TRUE.

    I agree with the "rely on eachother in a player run economy" comment. Perhaps it would require a party to unlock the crafting jobs. Perhaps we need to gather ingredients in parties in order to survive. I really like the idea of synergistic crafting/gathering and TEAM WORK!

    still not going to happen, take those ideas to a new game, here, we have access to ALL CLASSES right off the bat

    crafting wont get jobs like combat(we will however get artifact gear)


    also, teamwork is there, just not as much as near launch now that people have had almost 2 years to get their crafts up so we have more people with multi 50 crafts, when you see the cap raise youll once again see more of this teamwork, and itl be a continuious cycle as such with each cap raise til each time people have had time to level everything


    i understand you dont like crafting as is, but i hate to tell you it is not a majority thing that crafting isnt liked. most people who are on the hate crafting bandwagon hate it in general and still wont do it regardless of how its changed
    the rest of you just want something that isnt there and wont be there because you want to do everything and feel that if it isnt catering to how you want to do it it has to be bad and must be changed

    Something like this, I didn't bother putting Rapid because it seems they will be removing it in a future patch.

    Hey Dev Team! This RahJah guy right here- a prophet of crafting and game design genius. Heed his words. Scrap all your plans and all the work in development for 2.0 involving crafting, and start from scratch so you can build this generic, nearly non-existent crafting system in its place. Why didn't I think of that!

    Seriously guys, he's using caps! That means his point is much more valid. Besides, he's writing a thesis- and that's relevant because it means he's very smart. The devs have to see this and restructure!

    the changes on crafting is nice...is a thrilling when aiming for higher quality and the dura left is 1 lol

    I really hope the changes on the UI, it only can get better I think.

    I am ok with crafting but I think it needs to be somewhat faster, maybe reduce the animations abit. I would also like them to rework the leves I'd like them to implement a 10 and 30 rank in there for leves I don't like how the gap is 20 and when your like 35 and you are still getting a ton of 20-25 leves it just seems like a waste.

    Aye. I'm a supporter of static access to leves every five levels. But I'd be partly satisfied with categories every 10 ranks rather than 20 if those milestones always are populated. What's worse than getting 20-25 leves is being 40+ and getting no leves at all.
