Would you want account progression?

I don't know that the game needs this as a general feature. Your main character can do everything and most people just play alts to RP or Raid on other DCs, the latter being less likely to care about stuff like this to begin with.

I would say anything that you obtained on one character that is now unobtainable (such as Event quest rewards you farmed out during events) could and probably should be account wide.
But I don't really care all that much that this isn't the case, to be honest.

Some are, some aren't. The expensive ones are account wide but the cheaper ones (like the magitek armors and the old event rewards) are single character.
