A schedule for the Island Sanctuary's release was revealed during the most recent Live Letter from the Producer. Players can expect to enjoy the new area in Patch 6.2, with further updates to the island at a later date. More details will be shared with players closer to the release. The Island Sanctuary could be a solution to FFXIV's crowded housing market. Buying a home has always been an issue, due to the large population of adventurers on each server. Currently, estates are the only way players can garden and raise their Chocobo. Houses are expensive and owning one is a rare opportunity. The Island Sanctuary in FFXIV seems to be an alternative for fans and can free up the marketplace.

Giving everyone access to a personal island is a massive change to the game. The Island Sanctuary in FFXIV allows for the freedom of expression like never before. Players will be able to invite friends and show off their own custom-made islands. Depending on how extensive the new feature is, some players may even spend the majority of their time decorating the area. Final Fantasy XIV fans can look forward to hearing more details about the Island Sanctuary as the release of Patch 6.2 draws closer.

Island sanctuary is literally not instanced housing, and it won't be anything close to housing. Stop using clickbait style articles, this journo is speculating and he's dead wrong. Yoshida has told players to lower their expectations and that it's going to be an area to let your minions run around and maybe gardening. The idea that it's going to somehow alleviate the housing crisis is pure copium.

This, all of this. Apartments are a joke lol. If they were adequate or comparable to houses, there wouldn't be as much of an issue. They're incredibly limited in just about every aspect. Saying there is "absolutely no problem" is just full on copium.

Not to mention, I believe FC apartments have even more limitations - can't leave the FC or you lose it, ect. I think it should speak for itself when FC-only wards are sparse.

Should have allowed people to upgrade their houses from small to large with DOH/DOL plus gil efforts to upgrade, and it should have been instance.

I am assuming you have house(s) or rather mansion(s), which is probably why you are condescendingly gaslighting and trolling other players in this forum who are complaining about the lack of houses and lack of improvements.

But it's pretty easy to tell that you have nothing productive to discuss that pertain to this thread or other thread, but troll around to brag that you have houses and people should cry themselves a river.

If you are satisfied with what's given to you, go spend time with your house. Don't come in here waltzing around being rude to others.

Personally, I’d be happy if they added more apartments options (studio, as we currently have, medium and penthouse) with a small balcony/ greenhouse to grow plants.

To me, the gardening feature is the main reason I want a house. Not being able to use the gardening feature simply because one is not lucky enough to get a house is frustrating.

I am satisfied with what we have been given considering that the supply has increased by 1867% if you don't even count FC rooms and apartments.

I am satisfied that players get to choose to pick a permanent solution to their housing needs for much cheaper than a house, at the detriment of having a yard and more square footage.

I am satisfied that there are incentives for players, who really want a house, to obtain one on different servers.

I am satisfied that players can still trade plots, as it was originally intended*.

The only thing I am not satisfied with is the fact that after 8 years, personal housing is still allowed to compete with FC housing, when we were told the two would be separated. Ironically, you people are complaining about FC housing when in reality, the total amount of available plots is 125,000 higher than the total amount of FCs that exist to this day. If Yoshipizza would have stayed true to his word, this forum would be way more peaceful while also less entertaining.

It's hilarious seeing you people getting worked over housing when you disregard everything that's been given or how your own greed for personal housing, which btw has absolutely no value compared to FC housing, is the reason why you are complaining in the first place.
