As a Sprout healer that isn't even out of Stormblood yet, and who never touched Healing in any other MMO (Mainly played DPS in WoW), if the tank is going too slow, I'ma pull more. I want the dungeon to be engaging for me, not "sit and spam my AoE and nothing else because tanks/DPS are taking pitiful damage". I'm not pulling extra to be an a-hole, I'm pulling extra because I want to get enjoyment too, rather than pressing 1 ability for the duration of the whole dungeon.
Even saying this, I've barely ever seen a healer/DPS pull for a tank, the tanks are normally ahead of everyone else. People DO stop for a few seconds after each boss. People also stop BEFORE a boss is pulled. I've only had it once in my multitude of Duties where a DPS pulled whilst I was in a cutscene. Bit annoying, but made things a little fun because I got to press 3 more buttons to "catch up" before I go back to my 1 button spam xD.
So, am I also considered the "best of the best", since I can easily deal with W2W pulling quickly without barely touching my resources? I've even set myself a task of learning to mainly heal through oGCD's, to the point, my last few dungeons have had 0 healing GCD's pressed. All of my GCD's went to damage, and no on died! So, if people really are struggling with this, then, I have to call into question as to "why". It's not because it's difficult (Unless I'm a super-chad who was able to heal easily from me starting this game) and it's not because mobs actually do a lot of damage. it's more down to laziness. If you can't press a few buttons to keep people alive, then, why are you playing a healer?
Same as a tank, from what I've read, Aggro is seriously easy to keep/get back. If you can't press 1-2 AoE's to take aggro back, then, what are you doing? Standing their twiddling your thumbs?
Peace all, from the best of the best chad healer known as Lala!![]()
