Not to nitpick but that is in Yen and is about $2.5bn. That being said, I agree with your points 100%. I think the problem is that FF14 is under the Square Enix umbrella of games, so it is literally propping up the other games that SE is producing, like Babylon's Fall. I'm not sure what amount of money from FF14 is flowing back into the game, but I have a bad feeling that it isn't as much as we think/want.
