Compensation for what? You didn't lose time because the new system takes 30 seconds to apply. You didn't lose your gil. All you did was lose an opportunity, and they cant exactly compensate for that with anything that makes sense.

I have been saving money since January to buy a little house, finally I saved enough all by myself by doing crafting and gathering jobs and I made a bid for my very first house.

I have been playing since the very beginning of FFXIV, please DO NOT disappoint and hurt us.....I need a home....

You are playing since the beginning, have a forum-account only for several months and yet you had to craft and gather to get your very first house...
What did you do all these years? There were many chances to have enough money and to buy one.

Don't be so entitled. Paying a monthly fee doesnt give anyone the right to demand special treatment.

Yes this bug was a nuisiance and it would be nice if SE finds a way to help everyone having that bug.

But its unlikely to find a solution, which helps everybody

I would agree but this is not just "AN" opportunity, this is the biggest opportunity, bidding on plots was very widespread in between all the wards (except for personal of course because yeah..) so they in fact lost their biggest chance at getting a house because of an amateurish "bug", which is not acceptable.

NO, EXCUSE ME, you are not me, I spent so much effort and time in this game, it is a very emotional thing when this happened. If you cannot relate then at lease provide constructive advice rather than ask me to shut up.

I am a paying player and I did everything right for purchasing a house, I am pretty sure that when the fault is not with paying players, the game developer has the responsibility to correct this and at least has a solution that satisfies paying players.

He is however technically right, going by ToS you do not own the character you play and have no ground to demand anything.

SE has no responsibility to fix anything but they have to deal with the aftermath. This will fall under the "it was a bug we are sorry" category, I cant be arsed to check but there is very likely a fine print in SE's ToS that says bugs happen and cant be avoided and they will not reimburse anything unless they decide to do so.

This isn't meant as "get rekt" post, personally i believe its an absolute shitshow that can not have a happy ending no matter what they do but SE is obviously protected from anything you can reasonably demand even if it seems fair and within reason.

File a ticket and pray, forums are not moderated, no GM will look at this and take action, there is a ticket system on their homepage that is your best bet ... expect the chance to be near zero however.

This is not the biggest opportunity. Shirugane was a bigger opportunity it had more wards on release and no RNG to it. Just good old first come first serve. If anything this is probably the worst opportunity the game has offered so far even with out the bug. Not sure why you make up such a claim.

yes it sucks especially when you worked hard for it but at the end of the day it is just a game. the devs have admitted they fucked up and are working to fix it. we will get conformation on how that will be and if there will be compensation eventually. hate to say it but for now its a waiting game no matter how loud you yell.
