I am a paying player and I did everything right for purchasing a house, I am pretty sure that when the fault is not with paying players, the game developer has the responsibility to correct this and at least has a solution that satisfies paying players.

He is however technically right, going by ToS you do not own the character you play and have no ground to demand anything.

SE has no responsibility to fix anything but they have to deal with the aftermath. This will fall under the "it was a bug we are sorry" category, I cant be arsed to check but there is very likely a fine print in SE's ToS that says bugs happen and cant be avoided and they will not reimburse anything unless they decide to do so.

This isn't meant as "get rekt" post, personally i believe its an absolute shitshow that can not have a happy ending no matter what they do but SE is obviously protected from anything you can reasonably demand even if it seems fair and within reason.

File a ticket and pray, forums are not moderated, no GM will look at this and take action, there is a ticket system on their homepage that is your best bet ... expect the chance to be near zero however.

No, you are correct. Rights have nothing to do with it, privilege does. It's a privilege that we get to buy and pay for this game, and it is also a privilege that the devs are taking our hard earned money as their salary and still fuck it up some how without proper testing, therefore becoming a privilege for the said upset individual to voice their concerns about this broken system.

I think its time we got an update, we are going on 24hrs now since this all went down, yes i know these things take time but gee what a kick in the ass.
I myself was the the only bidder on a private and my friend bid on a FC house for us and was the only bidder so we won both.
I love to be decorating or at least have it confirmed that we are getting the houses so i can start to plan, ive gone from googling house ideas to just numb.

What's more annoying is i had a house on kujata, gave it up to move to oceanic, then had to wait 4 months to even have a chance at a house.
Constantly check the release date, worrying about the lotto, i even stood on the plot for hours before the lotto finish to maybe silently persuade people from bidding.

For me 50% of the game is housing, its honestly starting to give me anxiety.

The short of it is, SQE is lazy as fuck and abusing the fact that their game is blowing up because of WOW's failure. Pretty sad and funny for a triple A company. The game has been horrible from the start, they made a come back, but it looks like they don't remember their initial failure. If you can see, the devs spend most of their time fixing benign bullshit that affects nothing instead of fixing genuine issues that have been present for years past. It's both funny and sad (that you could be hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars deep but cant fix something a freelancing modder can) LOLOLOLOL, horrible devs, all of them.

It isn't really that emotional. I thought it was actually funny how bad this failed over all, it went even worst than I expected. You don't have a right to good customer service because you are a paying player. The reason a solution is taking so long is this is a bit of a situation, and how to handle this situation is not easy as some one is going to come out angry regardless of the choice they made to address this. In reality if this rolled over to a new lottery system would the results be that different from the last if you were the only player that bid on a house. The reality is you are just being selfish and making entitled demands that have no thought behind them.

Uh, YES. That is exactly how probability works. If you were the only person on a plot or not, it doesn't matter. Putting it back into the NEXT round will increase the total number of bids, and people who lost legitimately would have a second chance where those who lost to a bug, didn't *get* their legitimate bid recognised.
There's going to be a LOT more people competing for a lot fewer houses, so yes, the result will be VASTLY different.

There's also going to be more houses as people relocate old houses and as FC housing gets opened to players. Also why where there will be a lot more people competing? It would be less than the number of people originally competing. Do yall think about stuff before you post it or just spout BS that sounds right in your head to justify your entitlement.

exactly my point too! you said it perfectly. The result will be so skewed if they let players roll again, and hundreds of original bidder will lose out, it is very unfair
