Compensation for what? You didn't lose time because the new system takes 30 seconds to apply. You didn't lose your gil. All you did was lose an opportunity, and they cant exactly compensate for that with anything that makes sense.

I would agree but this is not just "AN" opportunity, this is the biggest opportunity, bidding on plots was very widespread in between all the wards (except for personal of course because yeah..) so they in fact lost their biggest chance at getting a house because of an amateurish "bug", which is not acceptable.

This is not the biggest opportunity. Shirugane was a bigger opportunity it had more wards on release and no RNG to it. Just good old first come first serve. If anything this is probably the worst opportunity the game has offered so far even with out the bug. Not sure why you make up such a claim.
