No longer want to play if I can't get a house

On the forum probably. I played this game since 2012 on my old Legacy account and quite literally just registered my forum account yesterday on this one (and this one existed for a few years already).

I started this back in early 1.0 beta and pre-ordered the 1.0 collectors edition but didn't register on this forum till years later. So I'll give them benefit of the doubt on when they started playing. However claiming they "waited 4 years for this housing opportunity" is the part I'm inclined to call BS on since nothing was stated about Ishgard opening as a housing area or that they would use a housing lotto system 4 years ago. Pair that with people on this board's tendency to grossly exaggerate things when they feel inconvenienced by something or they don't get what they wanted.

Well, new housing wards was last released in stormblood no? And endwalker was released in 2021. I'm too lazy to do the math, but I presume the period between stormblood and endwalker was around 4 years, if not more. People have been waiting for new wards ever since Shirogane, which is quite a long period of time. Apologies if I wasn't expressing myself clearly enough, I didn't mean to insinuate players were waiting for ishgard housing in particular - merely just any new housing at all due to the short supply.

I also don't think people are exaggerating things. The lottery system just does not work. Its possible to lose to a number 0 ticket, no amount of spin and sugarcoating is gonna hide that frankly embarrassing error. But you are correct in saying that people in this thread complain about things when we don't get what we want. We didn't get a competent housing system or dev team kek

I don't think anywhere they said about waiting specifically for Ishgard for 4 years to get a house, but more of a general statement that they have waited for 4 years to finally attempt to get a house. At least from what I understood. Maybe your context and mine are different.
