    We already have that, and the complaints that we're seeing even in this thread are that those mechanics might as well not even be there because healers heal right through them without breaking a sweat, and the player doesn't learn. A good example of this is the Yeti in Snowcloak that has to sneeze on the rabbits to create snowballs that you kick at him to interrupt his AoE. A couple of months ago I ran through that instance as a healer, and even though we repeatedly failed that mechanic, I was able to power through and keep everyone up, creating the impression that the mechanic was simply a group-wide AoE. Was I mad about it? Not really. It kept me on my toes as a healer, and it was kind of funny to see us power through that, to be honest. The point, however, is that 3/4 of the group members were able to sleep walk through that fight, which completely defeats the "purpose" that you're claiming the mechanics have: to teach players to be end game raiders.

    I never claimed that. To me the purpose of the mechanics should be to be fun and create real sense of excitement and danger. If I wanted to learn about endgame raids I would join a practice group of said endgame raid. But yeah people should learn how to play the game and mechanics do help. That’s just not my focus.

    And for the record I disagree, you shouldn’t have been able to power through that. One time tops, so that people get the message they’re doing it wrong and the second time you fail that mechanic you should probably have a vulnerability up that would make you wipe. Hardly hard core stuff we’re talking about given that’s the only thing that boss does basically. It has one gimmick.

    I wouldn't mind slightly harder casual content indeed dungeon on part with extreme trial for exemple.

    Savage and extreme have telegraphed attacks. Just because some of us want the msq harder and cite examples on how to acheive that doesnt mean they want casual low level content to be savage tier difficulty.

    You know there’s a way to balance this using telemetry. In fact all they have to do internally is add kill counters to the boss and decide on a percentage of number of players it should kill. It could also automatic exclude any characters with a Savage achievement/fight cleared. For casual content if said boss is killing 5-10% of the players it comes across then that is perfect. If it’s not, then they just need to keep fine tuning the fight until it does.

    As a boss enemy, it SHOULD have the ability to kill you. And I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of bosses in this game that haven’t killed anyone who wasn’t intentionally trying to get killed in a looong time.

    With this solution you remove the argument it’s to appease hard core players and you can measure and balance bosses so they are somewhat deadly, but nothing crazy.

    Not to mention that it essentially screws console players because, like it or not, this game does have people that play on PS4/PS5 and, to my knowledge, they don't have add on.

    No I said that is a option that may help you as it is a feature that should already be in the game but the devs do own things to address button bloat over looking at common features people use add ons for.

    Button bloat is not the problem for me. My condition flares up when I get sensory overload. This happens in fights that are packed full of mechanics. My nervous system then begins to short circuit and I lose some motor control. This makes doing high end content like raids and savage fights impossible for me. However, I really don't mind that I can't do that content. It's good that it is there for people who like more challenge and can handle it. There is still plenty more for me to have fun with. If some of you were to have your way though, even the content that I currently enjoy, including the MSQs, could very well become out of reach.
