Simplicity for the sake of simplcity is also stupid. Why even bother making jobs anymore, just make jobs one button that does 900 potency and thats it. like the npc rotations. I honestly think if you like hte new summoner you'd also enjoy white mage dps rotation.
There are games out there dedicated to no learning curves and having no difficulty. You don't have to demand this game keep getting more and more flat and easier and easier.
It's not simplicity for the sake of simplicity, they're removing the button to remove button bloat, which is especially a problem for console players.
Besides, I like white mage it's fun.
Removing Kaiten is kinda lame. Not because it makes the job less complex, but because it felt good to use. There were other ways they could’ve addressed button bloat.
Hissatsu: Kaiten is also known as Dark Arts. That is probably why.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

well... they coulda stacked buttons like they did with Hien in that one duty.
Or Thancred.
So Kaiten can live on instead and nothing about the rotation would really change.
But nooooooo. They had to bury Kaiten for that.
Except Kaiten wasn't bloat. It contributed to how you managed Kenki so you didn't have to blow it all on Shinten mindlessly. Even if it was the case, they still didn't even address SAM's real button bloat with Ogi Namikiri being separate from Ikishoten, Shoha 2 being its own button for no reason, Senei, etc.

Hey, I didn't have to demand it. Yoshi and the gang did it without me even requesting it. Hope the trend continues. ♥
Where is it known as that? In translations? In other media?
My understanding is Hissatsu is "Deathblow" and Kaiten is "Turning of the Heavens"
Kaiten is awesome flavor for a job that is themed around patience/focus through the seasons.
