DXVK is now an important part of the Linux gaming equation. DirectX, you're correct, used to be a huge problem. DXVK is the reason why in some instances, Linux can have better performance than Windows.

Oh don't worry, the bug report's active over there. Also, Valve didn't pick going to Linux for monetary reasons. They picked it because Microsoft indicated it was a good idea to explore alternatives years ago.
