Can we get an option to remove tails from tailed races?

Mhhh, why do you play a tailed race when you do not want a tail? It's like playing a Lalafell and not wanting a small race.

It's not that people don't want tails all the time.. it's that sometimes tails do this:

and it'd be nice if we had an option to hide them (like they were tucked into the clothing) instead of having the tail clip through a cape the whole time or phasing through a loosely fitting robe.

It'd be fine if they modeled things to look more like it has a tail "hole"... but nope.. Goldfish poop looking tail sticking out of the thing and clipping through the cloth like it's not there.


So rather than remodel or make rules for the clothing.. let us decide if we like how the tail looks on whatever and give us a toggle. It's possible since SOME outfits do it.. so howbout you just give us control over it?

With a lot of items I can just ignore the tail clipping to a degree, assume that if I looked closely there would be a hole cut in the item for the tail to poke through, and then just never look too closely. Not ideal but works mostly fine.

I can't handwave away a tail clipping through a full cape though, no one would cut a tail hole in a cape.

Kind of baffles how things like grass get under Yoshi's skin, but not something like this. Perhaps he should play a tailed-race for a little while.

He does play an au ra while not doing promotional events.

Aligator leather is quite common as a belt material. Shoes and handbags too.

Potatoes go good:

• in stews,
• mashed on top of meat and veggies,
• mashed as a side dish to many different proteins,
• boiled then pan fried as a side dish,
• cut into strips then fried,
• sliced thinly and fried/baked then lightly salted,
• fermented for drinks,
• wrapped in foil and baked to be served with sour cream, bacon bits, and chives
• wrapped in foil and baked, innards scooped out and mixed with caramelized onions, cream, and piped back into the casing then baked again
• many, many, other ways as well

That's something the devs should be taking care of by activating the "hide tail when this gear is equipped" setting that they already have control over, as for the Moonward sets.

The examples shown are just the "worst".. there are plenty of times where hiding the tail would be preferable to having it just phase through clothing.

Why is this dreadful?


Notice I said "troll sounding" and I only say so because that particular stance seems to be anti-customization since it would be an option you wouldn't have to use and wouldn't affect you otherwise.
