Warning for "Grief" Tactics?!

Don't take this what I'm about to say as "I'm on your side", but for what it's worth I believe you and I don't consider you a bad person. I still stand for what I said here and at other topics. Still, I don't think you, or anyone really, should lose the ability to play FFXIV for what we think got you a warning. However, FFXIV ToS works in a certain way so you either adapt or you know what can happen long term.

I still remember your top tier male viera art work and I know when you want you can be funny and probably a pleasant person to be around, and yet, of late the vibe I get from you is pure assholery so I hope whatever is going on improves.

How about we go on a learning experience. Here is my bar:



Red are skills that do not require a cast. Yellow are skills that do not require a cast and are heals, shield, or just general support. Black are worthless skills. Utilizing much of my kit, means I can heal players regardless while still casting glare* with oGCDs. If I do not have oGCDs available, I have other avenues to do so without a cast, such as Afflatus Solus or Rapture.

i feel like its actually quite a common behaviour that I see in PF/DF, and usually by those sporting that crown
it can feel embarassing when someone is left dead on the floor and a healer purposely doesn't raise them - it can feel like a powerplay and in other situations that might be spicey but i'm not over here trying to solo the floor and i won't let other ppl solo the floor xD

Yeah, even if it's not your intention to powerplay, it can certainly come off that way. I don't know why some people are so strict when it comes to DF groups, it's pretty easy content. I was feeling a little inspired and decided to sketch out what you should avoid doing in DF since a picture is worth a thousand words. (This is my original character, please don't steal)

I hope this helps people avoid getting warnings in the future.

From all the info I could gather (and the way OP express herself) in this thread. Following is purely my educated guess.

The most likely reason for the warning seem to be “revive”

OP have mention she only Swift cast and only hard cast “valuable” team members. So I believe some member got left on the floor, and I believe there are some verbal argument between said member and OP?

Since OP have not mention the reason/s for not reviving those/that member, I think GM look into the log and come to conclusions of the warning.

I mean she isn't wrong about the healer's cast bar not being fully indicative of all that they are actually doing to keep a party alive, I use up my ogcds while continuing to dps/playing my astro card minigame. Under normal circumstances everyone's HP would remain high and it wouldn't be an issue, and if someone gets hit by an attack I let their base HP regen do its thing if there are no ogcds before covering the group before unavoidable raidwides that I know are coming.

Hardcasting heal spells is the last thing I do as a healer, Cure 1/Benefic 1 is absolutely not an ability I use normally, and I do not often find myself having to spam Cure 2/Benefic 2 unless the tank isn't using cooldowns or something unexpected happened. Lastly if a player doesn't appear to be understanding what is going on in a fight and raising them would drain the mana I need to keep other people alive, then I simply cannot spend the mana to get them back on their feet if it means we'd risk a wipe. Hardcasting raise is also an almost sure way to get me hit by an attack or to be interrupted by something else going on.

Thank you, and yes you're right. I'll have to work on my drawing skills a bit more so I can convey that better.
Context is important, and if the healer is under pressure and can't raise at that moment, that is understandable. I think it's best to throw your dead party members a raise when possible even if your swiftcast isn't ready.
