It's their mistake, worst case scenario any extra items will be removed from you but that's about it. And I doubt they will bother. If I was you I will claim it and forget about it.Oh absolutely, I’m positive
I can’t use that ‘founders title scroll’ thing in my inventory because I’ve already claimed it. I just checked my bank and haven’t been double charged… it’s so strange.
I did end up googling it just now and apparently it’s happening to quite a few people
Most of us who have been around a while see prettier and prettier MMOs making the same mistakes, I can even list the main ones.Right but it’s a bit damning to just immediately write an mmo off as “lul totally not gonna last.” I think people need to learn from the beautiful themes this game grants us and have hope. Didn’t people say the exact same about 14 after 1.0 and look what happened lol. I think people are just scared about competition.
- The general gaming community is not interested in punishing games, they are and will always be niche.
- The general gaming community is not interested in lots of grinding.
- Current MMO devs (the ones that aren't MBAs who never played a video game) tend to be made up of first and second generation MMO players, trying to recreate EverQuest or WoW, or some PvP focused MMO that modern MMO players don't want.
- Along with the previous item, the MMO fanbase has a group of loud but ultimate not numerically significant first and second gen MMO players who claim to want old school MMOs or PvP MMOs, they do not speak for much of anyone.
So when devs do those above things, they unsurprisingly crash and burn.
I've been around for awhile. i just think its possible for games to grow despite people basically begging for it to come crashing down. Every game has its problems, 14 has many. If a game has good development it might surprise people how good it can be.Most of us who have been around a while see prettier and prettier MMOs making the same mistakes, I can even list the main ones.

Although that bolded category characterises some of the ones I am hoping (against all the odds) don't crash and burn...
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
It's the same reason devs love FPSs. It's cheap and relatively easy to make maps and weapons and armor, then thrown players in let them make the story and actual content around the assets. Building AI, and story and related stuff is hard.
Do you guys even ever pause to consider whether you should be talking about a game despite having no knowledge of it? LA is a theme park MMO. There are a lot of issues with LA but the rabid fervent barking is just sad and reeks of insecurity.
You write this like it's a positive, but it's not. Sub-based MMOs have without exception always been the most successful formula for MMOs. The sub ensures steady income for the developers and guarantees that the game will not become P2W and be riddled with unending grind unless you pay while the only upgrades you get are to the massive in-game cash shop.
F2P is a terrible model for any quality MMO, and these games always degenerate within a few years time. Not a single memorable F2P MMO exists.
Yet even with it being a sub based mmo i continue to see downgrades and a lack of improvements with specific aspects of 14. My point however was moreso about companies wanting to make as much money as possible, sub based mmo’s are a good example of this. You write this like it's a positive, but it's not. I don't think anyone's really doubting that gaming companies are in it to make money. There's not really a debate to be had there. It simply is.
I was rooting for it, as I do with just about every new MMO. Like I said before, I WANT there to be competition. I just don't have any expectations at this point, and there is a long line of MMOs who have tried and failed. There's quite a precedent already set.
Me: Log on after work, do normal raids, run expert roulette, log off per usual.
Forum: ZOMG GAME IS LITERALLY DECEASED.
