Seems to imply you are allowing people to die and once dead, leave them there. Even if not, a refusal to do raises is in the same vein. I'm not accusing you- I have no dog in this fight. I don't know any more than what is said here.

I'm simply trying to show you that you might not be innocent, and should that be the result of your appeal, I hope it doesn't make the world come crashing down around you.





I have filed several reports in my years in game, never out of spite. Simply reporting obvious trolls being obvious or purposefully being idiots at the expense of others. I've reported people for being rude and leavnig mid dungeon (In particular a player with a mentor crown had a lot of rude things to say at a sprout for not understanding a boss mechanic). I simply do not put up with BS.

To the point: I believe most people don't play with any particular other player enough to even have spite towards them. Fine to disagree here though- I don't know the motives of others.

There is such a thing as oGCD heals and abilities, and even lillies do not require a cast. When a player looks over they see me casting glare, and assume that is all I do, and start harassing me over it.

a player who stands in aoes one after the other, runs mechanics into other players, runs a stack marker alone to the edge of the arena, gets pushed into spikes, stands next to a tank with a tankbuster, backflips off the side, gets pushed off the side, stands in an instakill mechanic (LoTA, Amon, etc.), etc. Yes, it is their fault.

I have filed zero reports in my years in game. I have nobody on my blacklist. My distaste for many who hold the "mentor" status is known, and even then I don't report them. The mentors who harassed me and kicked me out of the novice network on my alt, I did not report. The player trying to kill me in Bozja with mobs, I did not report. The players who have rescued me into mechanics, I did not report. I had never thought anything they did was worth them potentially losing their account over.

Intentional leaving or disconnection:
(This is a little bit more open, since it's not clear if it only applies to actual DC or just leaving the instance.)

Key Points
Since the game relies on internet connectivity, it is inevitable that there will be network disconnections or real-life circumstances which prevent you from playing the game. As such, simply disconnecting or remaining inactive in the game will not result in a penalty.

However, if a report is filed, a penalty will be issued if the following types of situations are confirmed to be occurring repeatedly:

Occurs right after entering a duty
Occurs when progress is not going well in a duty
Occurs when the team is about to be defeated in PvP

Even if there was no intention to interfere with others, repeated occurrences can be a nuisance to others. If you are experiencing network instability, or if you are frequently unable to play due to real-world circumstances, be considerate of others by refraining from participating in the duty/content, taking into account that you may unintentionally cause issues for others.

For the 2nd time in this thread: this rule does not refer to leaving an instance or duty by the “leave duty” button. This rule is referring to one going afk or for trying to bypass the lockout timer by closing theme and forcing others to kick you. That is why the rule goes out of its way to mention that disconnects and real life things that might pull you away from your computer/console. ie. If you cannot or do not want to do X, leave when you're not in combat, take your lockout punishment & allow others to find a new member.

Honestly, that's kind of noble and I wish more people had that mentality. There are some people who report people the instant they say or do anything they don't like. Just the other day I had someone tell me they were going to report me for "abusing the kick function" because I put "AFK" for the reason of kick. Sorry, "Disruption of gameplay" is not an option.

I am of the opinion that a proper use of the report function in this game is only in extreme circumstances. Such as constant, documented, harassment, extreme cases of stalking, scamming, blatant hacking, etc. Otherwise, a report is a complete waste of your own time and the GM's time. However, yes, many in this community feel the need to report another for anything they don't like. I do not appreciate this.

Certainly, the way that SE handles ToS enforcement is also, I think, questionable. I do not believe a player should receive a permanent ban, unless it is under those 'extreme' circumstances. Suspensions, sure, but the thing about this game is any infraction can lead to the permanent closure of a player's account. On top of the fact they withold details of any violation due to a privacy policy: meaning there is often times no way to properly defend oneself in an appeal, or truly correct one's behavior.

Once a few years ago, I got banned from my league of legends account for cheating. I was playing Overwatch when it came out so I did not even touch my League account for almost 4 months at that time. I have seen that someone actually broke into my account and was playing on it. I could see clear as day as I NEVER play Yasuo... I am a support /caster kind of person, I hate close combat champs.

I wrote a ticket to them to appeal. I explained to them to look at my play statistics and look at how many times before that I have played Yasuo... literal never...

They got back to me and said that they seen 3rd party tool usage and I cannot prove that it was not me, so they cannot lift this ban. I said to them, just look at the games played, I barely ever played ranked or Yasuo... Then, they said no, then, I let it go. I was playing Overwatch mostly anyways, so I just thought "whatever".

Then, almost a year later, I receive a notification in my mail from Riot asking "did you change your password?" to that account that was broken in once. I immediately wrote to Riot again, that look this is 100% the guy that was stealing my account, I can prove it is my account, and I can prove its not me cause the request came from a different country...

Low and behold, they actually apologized and gave me back the account... too bad I am not playing that game anymore.

There is no moral to the story... when GMs in any game decide something, they decide something and its done until you have further proof. I did not just got my account hacked they banned it instead of helping me getting it back...I am not saying SE is same as Riot, but people are people. It will highly depend on the person that reads your case on what will be the outcome.

What lol. I'm pretty sure people took issue with the tone that post conveyed against the "I'm 100% innocent of this report", not the fact that OP will now become report happy.
