I'd argue Emet is far worst than Venat. What Venat did was sad but free of malice and manipulation. Emet's (and the Ascians') m.o. is all about malice and manipulation.I like Emet-Selch, but man is it TIRING hearing his fans go "No, see, it's okay that he wanted to commit mass genocide because they weren't really people in his eyes", while at the same time condemning Hydaelyn's actions as mass genocide or ignoring Emet-Selch's straight up evil actions like having Vauthry be born a monster guaranteed to become a tyrannical dictator or literally everything going on with Allag.
I just finished 4.0 on my alt last night and the at lead in to Omega cutscene I was reminded I hate Jessie from the Ironworks.
I guess it's supposed to be cute or funny her bossing around and talking trash to Cid.
But to me it just comes off as several politically incorrect descriptors I won't post here.
Marcette. She's not even fun to dislike, and not really a fan of all the arrogant researcher caricatures this game has.
Minfilia was the worst for me. I recently rerolled on a new server/world so that I could play with my daughter (I'm too cheap to transfer) and replaying all I can think is,"Can't wait for her to sacrifice herself and get out of my game again!"

Speaking of Minfilia, you know how in the dungeon
The Atiascope where Hauchefant gives us a buff for standing in his circle? So when we see Minfilia walking around, the party waited near her for a little while expecting to get something. I was like “Damn, even in the afterlife she’s useless Couldn’t even give me a buff!"
LOL

Minfilia isthe one building the path for you during the last bit of that dungeon though. They start out glowing gold and everything..

Emet-Selch is worse than Hydaelin.
Allag bringing suffering and destruction upon the dragons of Meracydia were directly his fault. They had NOTHING to do with the sundering or "our" star's problems. They fled from a star that got senselessly destroyed by heartless war machines only for his droopy-eyed arse to make this happen to them again when they were trying to mind their own business surviving.I'm not sure if my wording was confusing or not, but I was agreeing with you.
The point I was making was that it is ridiculous that Emet-Selch gets a pass from his fans for literally being the mastermind behind several murderous campaigns (to the point he calls his future self a megalomaniac in Endwalker!), but Venat gets criticized for trying to talk her people out of a slow process of circular suicide.

most of the scions.... like I really hope we get a long ass break from them for awhile.... not holding my breath.....

Well, it can be assumed that she's the one creating the bridge so that you can move forward tho.Speaking of Minfilia, you know how in the dungeon

LOLCreating the road for you to walk. The light that connects paths together? That was her. She always say "may you walk in the light of the crystal" like Venat, but she actually literally does it here by letting you continue when there was no path left forward. It's also a symbolism to creating a path that led the First to survive, symbolism that the connection to Hyadelyn was too faint but Minfilia sacrificed herself to keep the connection alive. To lead those who may walk after (dead creating a path so the ones alive can still continue).
