People do enjoy playing Hrothgar, but after a certain amount of time the lack of customizations and £5 to change a hairstyle gets boring. I have quite a few friends who play FFXIV and selected Hrothgar as their starter character, they couldn't believe a race could have such limitations and exist to stand by and watch the other races get access to more hairstyles and hats... In the end, people do end up wondering "Why am I playing this race when I can just play a Miqo'te/Au'ra/Elezen etc which has access to all the headgear and hairstyles"

It's not that we don't enjoy Viera and Hrothgar, it's just that we should get what we're owed and were promised 3 years ago. I'm already witnessing certain people fantasia'ing from Male Viera back to their main races... The novelty's already wearing off.

Got to sadly say I gave SE my money for a fanta. I adore Viera, I do, but waiting for female Hrothgar (which are going to be limited, I understand) on another limited race is eating at me.

I really don't blame you, it does get too much and sometimes a break from restricted races is needed (Your character looks lovely btw).

I'm waiting for the live letter for the 18th of February but I doubt any questions in regards to Viera/Hrothgar will make it to Yoshi... I checked the 'Ask a question' thread and these two races aren't even mentioned until 15 pages in, the next time someone inquires about them is like page 26.

Honestly, I'd feel more at ease if a dev just dropped by this forum and said "Hey - saw this. It's not ignored"

Never once wanted to Fantasia my Hrothgar, even for a moment. I wouldn't even if *I* were paid to do so. But, yes, I want to see more options for them, too.

For me, I personally dislike looking the same as everyone else.
Which is the reason I put a lot of thoughts customizing my miqo'te and avoid wearing some popular glams.

Hrothgar suffers this due to the limited face type and hair (being tied to each other is the worse offender).
One way to make yourself different is by choosing skin/fur color and patterns that is not the typical white or black.
Even then, you don't see most of it unless you use a specific glams that shows skin -- or go topless.
So naturally, people identify you from your face more than anything else.

I liked my Hrothgar when I changed into it. I stayed for half a year.
But whenever I see another Hrothgar with the same face + hair as mine, I didn't feel unique at all.
I grew less fond of my own character. I hated that.

Until the race can get more customization to feel more apart from each other, I don't think I would enjoy being a Hrothgar unfortunately.

Oh I love my Hrothgar ALT.
But I do agree I wish there are more custom options and More Gear made for them.

Be awesome if they could make some Special Lv1 Glamours for the Hrothgar that are either easily crafted, or sold cheaply by some Vendors
