Emet's bewilderment when we tell him of Zodiark and the Final Days is so very heartbreaking. Enthralled by Zodiark, we don't actually get to interact with the Hades that has a will of his own until Elpis, and he's like, "WHAT? Forsake my brethren? Insult the memories of those sacrificed by recreating Amaurot in an ocean? Genocide!?" Then we find out this Hades is actually fond of us, though of course he would never admit to that.

It's like, crap! We already had a ton of reasons to love you Emet. But nope, he wasn't done yet.

    Ugh

Agree. I love how they developed Emet's character. Maybe they will do something like that with Elidibus since we will get to know him and his son further through the Pandemonium storyline.

Lahabrea's son. Erichthonios is Lahabrea's son, and we're also hanging out with Elidibus himself, though he's using his real name (Themis) to avoid being recognized as a member of the Convocation. Elidibus is still a kid among the ancients. :P

EDIT: Although, this could be Elidibus just before he officially joins the Convocation. he says "I am here as representative of an organization that works directly with the Convocation", though again, that could just be him trying to maintain some secrecy.

That would explain why we're the same height.

    Unless you're a Roe

Yeah. When not using another body Elidibus has always been portrayed as shorter (when you consider modern people) and just younger overall compared to his fellows. His small figure after we defeat him at the Seat of Sacrifice, and in Emet's second short story where he refers to Elidibus as a "youth of small stature" come to mind. I remember wondering in the post SoS cutscene if his size there was just a reflection of his innocent and childlike wish to save his people, or if he was actually a child when everything went down. Turns out it was the later. : /

I dunno. A "child" wouldn't have that manly, soothing, calming voice that he has.

Nice insights - been excited for more of the Pandemonium story to release. Was really glad we got to return to Elpis.

It was kind of sus cause he says Azem is a member of the same organization. It could be before they both joined. We don't have enough to tell us just yet.

Their own "Scions of the Seventh Dawn" type of organization maybe?

Not sure, but there are some certainties at least. I doubt it's before Azem (we) joined, though, and he doesn't mention Azem being from another organization, just himself. Given this takes place in the Elpis we were originally sent to and Elidibus says this after telling him we're Azem's familiar:

It would have to be us he's referring to - it couldn't be anyone else as we're Venat's successor and she had long since stepped down from her position at that point, so it couldn't be her. I still think the most likely explanation is Elidibus is "undercover" so to speak, since he probably doesn't want the knowledge that he's from the Convocation to influence anyones' words/actions, though him not having joined up yet is certainly a possibility.

Perhaps, though their society seems to revolve largely around a "let things happen as they may" approach (at least, pre-Final Days, per the short story "Ere Our Curtain Falls"), since, while respected by many, they still think we (Azem) are a weirdo for sticking our noses into things wherever we went/go (trying to stop an erupting volcano for tasty grapes), even though that's exactly the reason the position exists to begin with.

Nah, you have to remember even a child ancient is still centuries older than anyone in the modern day and we really can't assume they develop in the same way. Also, again, from the short story "Ere Our Curtain Falls":

    "Emet-Selch!"

My name rang out in the Capitol, the caller's voice resounding around the foyer.

I could hardly pretend not to have heard (alas), and thus turned to face my pursuer. I had been so close to escaping...

The voice belonged, as I knew it would, to a white-robed youth of small stature, who was hastening across the hall. His red mask marked him out as one of the Convocation of Fourteen. Elidibus.
“It truly is incredible,” the youth said with quiet fervency
That's the sort of person Elidibus was; eager to fulfill his duty, he also respected and admired the Convocation more than any other. To many of us, he was as a younger brother of sorts.
"Youth" is really only used for someone who is very young (again, by ancient standards). He is indeed a child, and the youngest of the Convocation.

... Aaand I should probably stop derailing with comments about Elidibus in a Zenos fan thread. Apologies everyone, I tend to ramble.

Yeah, I'm pretty impatient myself - next patch can't come soon enough. I must know what happens to Eric. :X
