Right there, a person who, because parsers, that are against the ToS, are becoming too common, is being bounced out of statics.

That's a loss, due to parsers being used, and is sort of the entire point of the topic you decided to post in. So... you stepped in it mate.

I mean, where's the line, if it's okay for a static to demand you use things that are against the TOS, what's to keep them from demanding other things that break the law? (reminder, the Terms of service are a contract, and violations of them violations of contract law).
Man, did you hurt yourself with all that overreaching?

TOS is contract law, absolutely. So... how does SE actually prove the breach of contract that one is using the Parser?

They can't see what you're running, mate. They'd need DRM to do so, and that'll never happen. In other words, the breach of contract for the ban would be for the harassment, not for the parser. Because there's no way 100% they can prove you have one. The only time a ban specifically for a parser will occur is when it's said inside in-game chat in such a blatant way that there's no getting out of it. Nearly everyone who parses talks about it outside of the game, in discord/etc.

There's a difference between being a horrible person and harassing someone for their parse numbers, and not accepting someone into a static because they don't meet the particular group's parse demands.

But, let's play your game. Let's say Parsers didn't exist. So the OP goes for a trial run with them. Since their play needs improvement, it'd stick out like a sore thumb. People don't need parsers to visually eyeball something is wrong. So what does it get them in the end? Wasted time for everyone, because they wouldn't pass the initial test for this group anyway.

Same end result. You going to say that group doesn't have the right to deny that person, in that circumstance? It's literally the same thing. The core of it is the group has a set standard. Bare in mind, the OP did not state that anyone from these groups harassed them, just that they require logs for entry.

So I say again, what did the big bad parser do? It does nothing that people wouldn't do without it anyway. There will always be groups that have requirements to get into.

The amount of vitriol over a calculator astounds me.

Not to mention, streamers openly use a parser, and nothing happens.
