Supporting a game when it's garbage isn't a good thing. It's the players who didn't support 1.0 because it was garbage who forced SE to completely remake the game and create a success.

Well really it's the FFXI subscribers that should get priority because they saved S-E after the Spirits Within financial disaster and then bank-rolled 1.0/ARR.
Actually maybe S-E should give free access to FFXI whilst you're queuing and swap you over when you can log in.

1.0 is a somewhat different case compared to other games' failures. It was objectively a mess. No amount of plausible subs for the game it was would have changed that. Those of us who did stick with the game often didn't play it too much and ALWAYS rightfully complained. I mean it was complete garbage just from a playability stance, even if the rest of it had potential. Persevering through the shit you're given is an old school MMO mentality that, while that perspective was on a massive decline, was still notably present.
Yoshi-P took over not too long after, which if I recall correctly, the ability to finally play "properly" was finally achieved following. No longer did we have to sit through massive UI lag with literally everything we did. It was still a mess, but it was a playable mess. It had content to satisfy us shit dredgers. It's important to not pretend that it's not like they didn't create content for the game. Anyone could see though that it was not going to last much longer. Which is when they started the community discussions between Yoshi-P and the devs with players. It was little things being done that sparked hope that kept us there, which is then when the 2.0 rumors and announcements came.
It's not about entitlement at all. It's about taking care of the players who supported them since the beginning when it was rough. The reduced monthly rate is great. A priority queue is nothing to fathom out the mouth about. The amount of legacy players spread across all servers is most likely very, very miniscule.
Regardless, it's fine.
Well what kind of passive-aggressive adolescent person do we have here.
Wrong. The game being garbage in general was what forced them to fire the current head and replace them with Yoshi who re-made the game. This was realized even with people still playing the game and supporting it. Not the people who left.

It wasn't passive aggressive, it was aggressive aggressive. You still crying because non-legacy players got a goobue mount? I can't believe there are still legacy snobs thinking they're the greatest thing on earth and deserve special treatment. It's not about entitlement at all. Post a thread about the legacy mark and see what happens.
Lol good job SE starting to be less arrogant it's a good step.

Maybe I should have snipped more "legacy snobs thinking they're the greatest thing on earth and deserve special treatment" Which is what the legacy tattoo is. And every time it comes up enough screamers come out of the wood work. Screw the mark charge $50 for it and use the cash to hire more staff. It doesn't make mine or anyone elses character more special. And I don't understand the bent out of shape they get.
If money and time wasn't an issue instead of the current beginning/tutorial an end of 1.0 tutorial would be way cooler. Delete the smith and guildhests and work them into the tutorial per role and unlock those jobs. So run the starting tutorial as tank and unlock all tank roles. Once all are completed you can have legacy mark. But at this point in games life it would be a waste of money. We are never going to see another influx of new players like we just had.
