For whatever reason, seems like they're trying like hell to avoid daily resets.

It seems they are avoiding anything overly obstructive, well attempting to at the least. Yoshi P and team have firm stances on certain things such as anti-cheat. This is stance I actually agree with completely. Though it may come to daily resets, I do so hope it doth not. Being yeeted from the game will become obnoxious faster then it will become accepted.

I have become less and less inclined to now log out prior to prime time, as I have been doing. After seeing some of the downright hostility playing out across the community. I hope nobody feels the need to log out early, when the player that may be taking your spot will willingly disparage or attack other players - even for them simply having a couple level 90 jobs.

I am not botting to stay in, but I may rearrange my schedule, so I am still awake and playing during primetime.

This is most acceptable! At least for this lala over here. I do this too as I am freelance I can set my schedule to whenever I wish. However, am unwilling to engage with those using macros or any such stuffs to remain logged in. Many apologies if you feel included but aye nope. So long as you are engaging with the game during your time logged in this is okay.

It is those using macros or other such things only to publically flaunt their selfish behavior I have absolutely zero sympathy for.

I'm seeing it too. I understand the frustrations but people taking it out on others does nothing.

I have mentioned this before in another thread, but there is really no way for them to do anything about it unless they spy on what people have on their pc's, or a server reset everyday. Many of the solutions would cause more issues.

A server reset every day would be extremely annoying. Just imagine being in a dungeon at the only time you can play and being kicked from the game because 3am is the reset time regardless of time zone or the players work hours.

Checking for what someone has installed on someone's pc messed up before for me personally. I installed a trainer for Darksiders 2 to get a depth of field option this was 7 years ago. I loaded up 7 days to die to play on a server a friend was hosting and it was flagging that program as a cheat for its anti cheat. Some mods were also flagged in that game so you could not use them or have anti cheat on your server if hosting a private server. I have cheat engine installed for a casual game on my pc and I know just having that program installed would be flagged in Final Fantasy.

Just report people you know may be botting or have suspicions of it. The only other option would be gms actively spying on people, which similar to someone spying on you irl, it is just not something I personally would wish for. Though I must admit, some things I have done in game would have been interesting for someone to have witnessed like the time I was trying to find elevators to get up on things you shouldn't be able to. This had happened in Limsa and I became self conscious someone would think I was a bot or something for attempting to climb on geometry.

Though afk botting aside, if there was a decent solution someone does come up with please implement it for the, no joke, over 50 lala bots who were traveling with just their head peeking out of the sand like sand sharks in Costa del sol. I have even seen a post of a gm denying they could see bots in the floor by the post moogle before as if to keep up the ruse 'ffxiv has no bots'

Vaguely recall it was always at the same time of day, and would always come with an in-game announcement at least an hour ahead of time so players attempting to queue up would know what to expect. Players knew about the resets and simply worked around them.

And its the same exaggeration of the problem. Multiowners are not the main reason you can't get a house, they're just making an existing supply problem slightly worse. Its the same with afk bots.

I think that if they tried it with EW, it wouldn't work out the way it did with previous expansions, just because of the poor load the log-in servers would experience upon the reset. Everyone would jump it at once, and we've seen how it handles under stress (See the authentication and log-in servers crapping out the other day for reference).

Normally I'd be all for the scheduled restarts, but in this case with such an unprecedented number of players, it may end up causing more harm than good this time.

Keep crying about the symptoms instead of the cause. People are entitled to access what they're paying for and for some this is the only option.

I report every gather bot i come across. been doing it since ARR. Even had a few bots try and trade me stuff they gathered when you open trade window with them. The best thing is watch them Bug out and turn stealth off and get killed.

AFK botting sucks or whatever but honestly it's bootlicker mentality blaming this problem on the other players. They're selfish, sure, but they're also just people trying to play the game they paid for. What you're doing is tantamount to blaming shoplifters for high prices, except the shoplifters didn't steal anything. Idk how they'd go about detecting this stuff since the people I've heard of are just using gaming keyboards with macro capabilities.
