And they are a moderator of said subbreddit too
@ OP we get your frustration , but your incessant reposting has changed you from an understandably disgruntled customer to a fanatical activist with a hungry pitch fork and everything looks like hay to you.
The hard truth is that it's going to be too difficult to distinguish people using macros on their razer naga mice to stay active in the game. I could set u p a looping button right now to just spam my AoE in a corner of my house and never get logged out. (No, I don't do that, I would never do that - but that's what people are doing.)
I think it'd be too hard to detect.
Possibly booting people from housing every hour would be the only solution. (Not booting to character select or disconnecting them, just booting them outside of the house somehow.)
Ah yes, the issue of PLAYERS using bots and macros to take up server space when they aren't actually present to play is somehow NOT the players fault.AFK botting sucks or whatever but honestly it's bootlicker mentality blaming this problem on the other players. They're selfish, sure, but they're also just people trying to play the game they paid for. What you're doing is tantamount to blaming shoplifters for high prices, except the shoplifters didn't steal anything. Idk how they'd go about detecting this stuff since the people I've heard of are just using gaming keyboards with macro capabilities.
If everyone simply logged out when they were done or at work, the queues wouldn't be anywhere near as bad.
Players forcing themselves to take up server space when they have absolutely no reason to do so is half the problem.
The devs can't control player behaviour.
considering they do zero about long reported harvest/crafting and market bots and go after "low hanging fruit" like those advertising in major cities, I doubt they will go after afk'ers
FFxiv is a bot paradise with little to no repercussions, companies producing the bots know this. the users of the bots know this. there is a 63 page thread on the botting issue in Markets and Retainers... so.. I applaud you for trying, but I dont see any indication that SE really plans to put any real effort into combating cheating in any form
excuse me? they arent there. they are AFKAFK botting sucks or whatever but honestly it's bootlicker mentality blaming this problem on the other players. they arent playing the game any more than the harvest bots, crafting bots or market bots are. its cheating, plain and simple. what they ARE doing is denying people who actually do want to get in and play, from doing that as soon as they could by being selfish and taking up a spot so they can avoid the queue while they are at work or having a nap or whatever. how can you defend such a selfish behaviour
and again.. what? if they didnt steal anything, why would you call them shoplifters?? the definition of shoplifting is literally STEALING SOMETHING
Ôh this is why we had such high queue numbers on launch, everyone was still afk from before maint finished and not because of the giant amount of people who wanted to play during the usual prime time hours. Yup, makes totally sense.Ah yes, the issue of PLAYERS using bots and macros to take up server space when they aren't actually present to play is somehow NOT the players fault.

You are entitled to your opinion. At the end of the day it's excruciatingly difficult for an NA customer to actually get a message to JP devs without a huge online presence.
I don't see anything wrong with me choosing to spend my free time doing this instead of playing the game. Especially considering the congestion issues right now.
Regardless, as said in the OP, this is my final thread regarding the matter.
So, asking for more server.. no because Chips shortage, going After Yoshi... No because he cried poor Little thing.. asking for server resets.. no because afkers Will cry..
Guess they Just want my Money then...
It's like I'm playing some kind of underground lottery!
