I currently remote in to log in before leaving work. I've done this for numerous MMO game launches dating all the way back to early WoW. I've not see anything in the ToS that remoting to login would violate.I'm really very sorry but saying "remote desktop to your PC at home while you're at work, log yourself in AND hope it doesn't boot you" is... ridiculous.
That said, I don't blame square at all. Population explosion combined with new expansion and chip shortage. I get it. But what you're describing is absolutely not sensible solution in the slightest and we really shouldn't be telling people that they need to potentially break rules at work just to log into a video game.
