"Even if SE were to go and purchase the necessary equipment from the scalpers, how long do you think it would take them to get new servers into production? We're looking at a week minimum, but more likely 2-3 weeks even if they're working tirelessly to do it. By then, this issue will have dissipated anyway. There is literally no incentive for SE to spend all of that extra money on something that won't even benefit the situation at hand."

You said they added servers back in stormblood. Ok. As far as the WoW refugee crisis, they had enough warning then. Then preorders occurred, more warning. FF14 vets stated has been occurring for every expansion. They clearly didnt do enough in stormblood. You amitted there is no incentive for SE to spend all that extra money. I'm making the argument that they should. Thats it. Thats the issue here. Past that, all of our back and fourth has become a pissing contest with both of us not backing down and being disrespectful.
    So what now?
Exactly what buzzword did I use in that? I've combed through it a few times now, and I don't see a single buzzword in there. If you're going to try to claim that the use of "coprocessors" is a buzzword, that's literally just the name of the type of part that's in shortage. See, buzzwords are things used to stoke hype. Your list, had you said anything in it that would be relevant to IT, could have been considered buzzwords, as its purpose was to stoke the hype around whether or not you know what you're talking about.

*edit* also.... when do you think the shortage started? The shortage has been going on FAR longer than the great exodus of WoW. (Blizzard really is trying to copy FFXIV's story, I guess...) The influx of WoW refugees is a rather new development (less than 6 months). The shortage of semiconductors has been going on for the past year and a half... Stormblood was years ago.... Your timelines are all sorts of confused.

This is quite hilarious.... You accuse me of using buzzwords, probably because you don't know what you're talking about, and when I ask you what buzzwords I used, you deflect. That's pretty much the textbook definition of BS. You asked Rahst for an example when there was an example just 1 post before it.

How bout this. You "purchase hardware for your IT department"? Give me an example of what IT hardware you have purchased, what source you used, and its application. (You don't need to give details on who you are or exactly what it's doing, just a quick brief. Security is important, and I wouldn't have you compromising it.) Over the last 2 years, I have personally purchased about $700000 in servers, firewalls, switches, workstations, and various components for those. Heck, before I took the position I have now, one of my last projects at my previous companies was a $350,000 network overhaul where I was in charge of design, procurement, programming, and installation. September marked my 20th year working IT professionally in the enterprise sector. I've been directly involved in the purchasing aspect of it for the last 7 years.

What now? Put your money where your mouth is or shut up. Give an inkling that you actually know what you're talking about. From your comments, to anyone who actually works this industry, it's obvious that you have no clue. When asked to show some form of credibility, you deflect and insult. I could write a book of examples that prove I know what I'm talking about. I've kept them brief because it's irrelevant at this point. You have attempted one time to give an example of your credibility, and it just further proved that you are ignorant of the subject at hand. If you can't prove your credibility, then just shut up.
