    Undraw is actually the ability that can stay. Why would you expect to get a benefit from a card if you don't use it? You still get the 5% MP increase just from drawing the card. Astrodyne doesn't have CD like Divination did, so there is no race against time. Don't like your card? Undraw it, and you can try again on your next one.

    I think they just need to bring back Sleeve Draw. But generally there's a good chance of getting at least 2 unique seals and Sleeve Draw could guarantee your third. I think it's two steps forward one step back with the changes. And new Minor Arcana adds unnecessary bloat.

    Though I was kinda disappointed when Astrodyne didn't knock of 6 secs on my Earthly Star recast. I would like to see that benefit affect more abilities.

    That’s the issue… waiting that waiting for the perfect card means that someone who could have used that card with greater benefit goes without. Those waits add up. Better to just use the cards as they come.

    Undraw is useless. Any card you undraw could have been used on a player unless you are playing solo…. Hmmm maybe I’ll put it on my bar.

    you can fish for seals by overwriting them. anyone who brings up undraw fundamentally misunderstands thr seal mechanic


    that said the difference between 3 seals and 2 seals, while small im absolute potency values, is big enough that fishing for a seal once is worth it. i find it fun to decide wether to overwrite astrodyne or use it right away because its impossible to get 3 seals with that pattern

    It's there simply to undraw the card if you want to do so for whatever reason. It literally serves no other purpose, and is still less cumbersome than redraw.

    undraw was only ever useful in Stormblood in the levels before you got minor arcana. its honestly a vestigial skill because theres no reason not to use a card

    Undraw -> Draw
    OR
    Redraw

    How are two actions less cumbersome than one?

    I truly don't understand why redraw should be removed. I also don't understand why Sleeve Draw was removed. Current AST is boring, where you don't care about RNG and its result (because Astrodyne isn't even good) but you still have to work around it, but you can't have 3 reliable seals so it's not even fun to do.
    With 2 redraws and sleeve draw available it was fun and rewarding to pop a Divination (and you basically always had 3 seals if you played your cards right, which was the fun part of the whole system).

    EDIT: Oh yeah, and if you didn't like a card, you could always burn it into a Lady/Lord. Now you can't.

    I'd add that undraw has always been less than useful due to counting as an animationless oGCD.

    Simply clicking off a card or using a /statusoff macro has always been the better approach to removing cards since you can do it mid cast. (Thus why I ditched AST at the start of SB thanks to SE deciding to block people from doing this for a tier or thereabouts for whatever reason).

    Minor Arcana has the same issue, the ability itself is inoffensive at least, but two hotkeys? =/

    Undraw does literally the same as waiting for Draw to come off cooldown. That's why it's a useless ability. It made sense to be part of AST's toolkit 2 expansions ago when Draw and play were the same button and thus you couldn't draw without playing, forcing you to Undraw first. Ever since 5.0 there was no use for that button.
