No, I am not part of the IT industry. But I am one of the people in charge of procurement. There are ways to purchase items rather than going on amazon.com. Still not a valid excuse.
My message you quoted is still viable.

If you think the IT industry is buying servers off amazon, you're horribly mistaken... Please stop talking about a topic of which you are woefully ignorant.

The joke has winged over your head. I am part of procurement, I understand the topic of procuring items that are on shortages far more than an IT person. So I will continue talking about topics I understand while disregarding people thinking they are in the know.

He's not even a part of the IT industry. I won't go touting my job, as anyone can say anything, and my position will sound like I'm BSing; but I'll say this.... I'm part of both the IT industry and procurement of IT equipment. I can assure you that if he is not part of the IT industry, as he has already said in this thread, then he does not know more about it. IT procurement is not like the rest of the buying world. If you aren't part of it, you likely don't know it.

He literally just said he is part of PROCUREMENT.He's not even a part of the IT industry. As in, he buys and PROCURES parts.
You're just wrong here. Stop. Just stop.

If your job is IT procurement, even if you have no actual technical knowledge (very much a thing), then you wouldn't state that you're not part of the IT industry. IT Procurement is very much part of the IT industry. There are procurement positions for nearly every field, however. As I stated earlier, IT procurement is not like the rest of the buying world. It just works differently. Someone who is in charge of IT procurement would know this.

What in the ACTUAL F????
It's like you are just having your own entire conversation with yourself and nothing anyone says means anything in regards to what you post as your argument....
I....you know what?
Sekurity, I'm done here. Sorry bro. These people are nuts.

I still stand by my initial statement. Shortages are just that. SHORTAGES. They are existing. They are just expensive to get. If they actually cared, they would purchase them at the 5x, 10x, or 20x the normal cost. Anything you continue to spew about IT industry and not knowing everything about servers doesn't mean anything. The shortages was the excuse they gave us, Im specifically discussing that issue. If your job is IT procurement, even if you have no actual technical knowledge (very much a thing), then you wouldn't state that you're not part of the IT industry. Complete and utter lie. I admitted that i was NOT part of the IT industry. But I was one of the people in charge of procurement. Check back on my previous post. He's not even a part of the IT industry. I won't go touting my job, as anyone can say anything, and my position will sound like I'm BSing; but I'll say this....
