It's not even that the blessing of light was taken away, it's not tied to the body. The weakness is your character not being used to the new body, the Garlean's lack of magical ability and the body you get tossed into just being exceptionally weak.I'm going to disagree with you there. I think it was great. As others said, it makes you feel helpless. It's like with Marvel's "Who are you without your suit?" - "If you're nothing without your suit - you shouldn't have it" but with blessing instead.
Also you kinda need to be immersed with the story to understand the atmosphere. Ofc it's fine if you don't like it. It's just I feel like you focus on how annoying the duty is, instead of what's happening around you there.
