"In from the Cold" Scenario, any way to skip it?

I spend 1 hour on that crap, and hope that nothing like this ever has to appear and for what ?

All it was meant to do is give the player the feeling of : OH NONONONO
Without anything actually happening, literally from the start to the end, this quest could been removed and it would have changed nothing in the story or development. I am already pissed on the "Escort" quests and the need to run on the map forth and back like a retard just to to increase the "content" time.

Except it's there for the player and a bit of meta commentary. What makes your character special isn't their body, it's you controlling them, and in the case of the WoL that their soul is what makes them special, not their body. You are what make the difference here. If you cannot adapt, how do you expect to survive the challenges ahead? Because as a player we've had to adapt, get better, change up strategies and do things we've never dreamed of having to do in the game before. Every boss, every trial, every single one of them challenges us to do something new. This instance is a reminder that we're gonna have to push ourselves to the limits to succeed and do things we may find ourselves uncomfortable doing for trials and dungeons.

I hated Zenos for stealing the characters body and it really made me feel uncomfy. But that is the goal of the scenario in my opinion. If Heavensward, Stormblood or Shadowbringers didnt move you in any way, this took the cake.

ok thats nice still found it super boring and a waste of my time( also keywords MY time not a fictional character who hasn't had personality for like 90% of the story). at the end of the day this is a game if the whole point is to waste the character time then do it with a cutscene, not in a crappy poorly made stealth mission that makes every annoying feature of mmos gameplay come to play.....

also i really need to stress this I do NOT give a fuck about the WOL......who i have not felt is my character (story wise) since like late heavansward.

The only gripe I had with this quest doesn't have anything to do with it. Got hit with a 90k error right after finishing it, felt like I lost a year of my life. Thankfully when I managed to get back on 3 hours later it started me off at the cutscene immediately afterward, so that was a relief.

As for the quest itself, I must be built different or something because I didn't get detected even once. All you have to do is run in a wide berth around enemies because their line of sight is actually pretty narrow. Once you get past the stealth segment it's just a matter of dodging aoes and pressing your buttons.

I've never liked these quests, but some other people do. I think the best solution is just to make them optional. I'm not interested in playing as the other characters, having only a handful skills and/or needing to reorganize hotbars for 5-10 minutes of gameplay. Let me skip it, but keep the play through option for people who enjoy them.

Personally I didnt find this solo instance hard at all, just spammed the hell out of stealth and instant ko'd the people and dogs in the way(doesnt work on mechanical things.) The npc vision isnt as good as youd think and they do not care if theres a knocked out person in front of them.

Stank but it is ok if you do not try to combat everything and try to stealth most. The droids can never be sin attack so always stealth those. Keep trying you can get it.

I generally thought the whole lack of direction was intentional - that our knack for finding things and quest objects were a consequence of our OP body and Echo, whom we developed to the fullest over these past expansions and suddenly we're in the body of a 'normal soldier', who lacks all these things. It impresses on us how different we are.

Gameplay-wise though I can see how it can be frustrating for some people. They spoil us with all these quest icons and buffs. However, I feel nerfing this quest would foil the impact.

Absolutely agree. It is doable without switching the difficulty. Like i said earlier the scenario WANTS YOU to feel uncomfy about it. Timer is there to add a sense of urgency because if you wouldn't make it in time, zenos in your body would probably wreck the camp and your friends along the way to.

I know a lot of things have been said already about it. Just wanted to mention it again.

Edit: It would have been a LOT worse without yshtola around. Lets be honest.
