Just to point out, I believe that code already exists. The grace period is one minute. What many people are suggesting, is that the grace period be extended to at least something more reasonable temporarily during this high traffic release period, something of at least 5 minutes.

A longer grace period by even that little bit, wouldn't be too damaging to the existing queue, and would at least allow SOME breathing room if someone attempts to log back in and gets hit by the wall of 2002's and 3001's that seem to be quite common right now. As it stands, if someone tries reconnecting and experiences that singular 2002 on first attempt, it most likely is going to go over that 1 minute grace period and you loose your spot in either the server (If d/c'ed while in game) or the existing queue (If d/c'ed while in queue).
