There'll never be a huge different, but still a difference there is.The job really doesn't make much difference at Lv86. Nothing is different about Titan other than it probably having a higher potency/GCD which probably puts it above the other summons for bursting. Nothing is different about Ifrit other than having to gapclose. Nothing is different about Garuda other than having to do a long cast.
This is like AST all over again.
Whatever. This forum's toxic.
Re-read your complaint and tell me it's not for the sake of complaining? Garuda making you have to long-cast is a difference; ifrit having you jump to an enemy is a difference; titan having you double-spam is a difference. It's changes your way to play, strategizing what summon to use next to not lose dps. The game is not an idle button mash, you also have to consider dodging and positioning.
I already accepted the summoner for what it is and it's no use complaining over something that has been changed already. I love the aesthetic of summoner in every FF game, but this SMN's playstyle we had until 5.x was not for me, so I mained something else. Now I tried it again, it's different, but I didn't compare. I like it, so I continued playing. That, for me, is all there is to it.
I have to agree on how this job feels.. And I've been enjoying rdm a lot.. smn feels like I am doing absolutely nothing, just spamming ruin and the other ability that changes depending on summons.
I am very disappointed :/ especially because I love the class fantasy.. I am even considering to pick up blm now.

You doing that might explain why you evidently fail to understand the meaning of the word "feedback".
As I enjoy food analogies: do you also e.g. accept a burnt and bland meal at a restaurant because "it's no use complaining over something that has been changed"?
The new SMN is just utterly dull, lifeless with 0 skill-ceiling: why are there even filler spells left if the new class fantasy is to let the egis to all the work?
LOL CASTER NERDS ARE MAD
Didn't I write there "I"? I didn't tell you to accept it for what it is. I wrote IRe-read your comment and tell me it's not calling someone toxic for having a different opinion?

If you're gonna nitpick, atleast read better. And no, the new summoner isn't dull. If you're gonna be negative about something, atleast claim that it's your opinion. You don't speak for every player.
Summoner feels like this is what it was truly meant to be, no need for button bloat just for the sake of it. Amazingly well thought out skills and feel of it now compared to that mess if finger twisting it was. Made it hard to choose between using summoner, sage, or reaper now for story due to me not expecting it to be so well redone.

Imo, many other jobs are dull as well. Machinist, Dark Knight, Scholar. They didnt receive any love in this expansion. Not a sinlge change to their gauges.
The complains here are all subjective. Some people like the new Summoner, some dont. Past years have been the very same. People start to find their "new" love and interest for another job.
My solution for you: you have enough other jobs to try out.

Your solution doesn't work for everyone, because out of all the jobs there were a grand total of two that I actually enjoyed.Imo, many other jobs are dull as well. Machinist, Dark Knight, Scholar. They didnt receive any love in this expansion. Not a sinlge change to their gauges.

Right now I'm just putting up with the mess of a job that this is until they hopefully fix the glaring design flaws so I'm not fighting against the one job I have been playing since I started.
It's also incredibly rude to tell people to "find another job" if some could only play one or maybe a second job that they actually liked.
I love myself some magic users but I loathe healing, but I disagree with Black Mage's favouritism not to mention how I have been treated in ARR and to an extend to this day due to the caster environment. Red Mage is absolutely not my thing and it just doesn't bring me any sort of enjoyment nor do I even enjoy it's magicks.
