I do understand where both sides are coming. Yes it does sucks that the queues are backed log with people trying to play. Yes it was a good move to add 7 days to your subscription. However it is no point of
stressing over something that you can not control.

The only the advice i can give is as follows either A) you wake up early enough to play B) just wait it out or C) don't play for a while . You will drive yourself insane if you do. Trust me when i say this.

Hopefully, they will fix it this week.

Reread the agreed upon terms. I'll quote the relevant section for you:

Access may also be temporarily suspended in whole or in part, without notice, due to emergency repairs, fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, governmental action or failure to act, the act of any civil or military authority, act of God, or by any other causes beyond Square Enix's control, or any other reasons for which Square Enix, in its sole discretion, deems that temporary suspension is necessary. You acknowledge that disruptions of service may occur and waive any causes of action against Square Enix in any way arising from or related to any such disruptions of service.

In other words, in the agreed upon terms, you acknowledged that the service could be indefinitely interrupted, and you waived your right to compensation. Therefore, providing compensation to you despite your waiving it is an act of goodwill that does indeed count as seven days of free playtime.
