If you have 30 days of Playtime, and SE gives you 7, that is 37 Days.
You paid for the 30 days, you didnt Pay for the additional 7. Thus, 7 Free Days
Its very, Very, VERY Simple Math.
They didnt Fail to deliver Play time, the playtime is on your account. How can they have failed to give that to you, when its already there?

Plus how can I pay for a Bag of Apples and they didnt give me any apples? There is a Big Fundamental Flaw in your Example here, when you pay money, you get something in return as a trade. If I was gonna buy apples and they didnt give me any apples, they dont get the money.
If they suddenly decide to just give me some apples and not ask for payment, then yes, I just got free apples.
SE is not asking for you to make a another payment for those 7 days. They are Giving them to you and not asking for an additional purchase.
Thus...they are Free.

Actually, it has more sense of you compare with given a bag of rotten apples, you protest and they say "sorry sir, here, have this one for free for compensation" . And yes, I would. I mean, when you pay for something and that something isn't delivered correctly, they technically doesn't have to give you anything. You have signed a contract. You are responsable for what your buying. Most business give this kind of compensation as a common courtesy to make the costumer loyal with a gest like that. And since most gaming companies are quite away of giving courtesy to anyone, and normally they didn't show any courtesy whatsoever for this kind of incidents, the answer to your question is yes, I would. I mean, that doesn't make them saints or anything, but they at least showed the respect and the courtesy I think I deserve as a customer.
And related to the OP, you are wrong. "7 days free as compensation" is a clear, obvious message. It means "we are giving away 7 days free (means you don't have to pay or prove anything to have them) to compensate for those days you have lost". If that compensation is or isn't enough though, that is another thing worth of discussion. But the one who choosed the wrong words is you, not them. The 7 days are free and the message is the right one. However you are not agree with that compensation or it seems not enough to you for the time you've lost, which is your opinion and you do have the right of it, but in that case you should've said "I think this 7 days are not enough".

Access the Mogstation and under Service Account status check your subscription type and if it's active or not.

If it's active then you've already paid for those 7 "Free" Days of Playtime since you have not been able to play.

If people were not given the service they paid for when they paid for it, then that's a breach of contract. Giving people "compensation time" after they have not been able to play is not free, it's reimbursing what they paid for so they can't sue for fraud.
