    It's not just a problem with early access - it's a problem with people being able to play the game at all, period, regardless of whether or not they've even bought Endwalker. The rest of the game doesn't go away because there's a shiny new piece of it, and Endwalker doesn't have a separate login process. This isn't just compensation for not being able to play EW, it's compensation for not being able to access the game consistently or in some cases at all.

    I mean it definitely is 7 free days in addition to the sub, even if it is also compensation for time lost, but. Yeah. It's not just early access people dealing with these queues and errors.

    No, it's not "free time". It's a pro-active refund to compensate for the subscription time players have been unable to utilize due to the current circumstances. If you read the TOS, SE does not refund money, but they can and clearly have, given subscribers an effective financial refund in the way of additional game time. It's not just a refund of time lost in Early Access, it's in excess of the EA period so we're actually getting additional subscription time out of it. The fact that they've said they're open to the possibility of increasing this compensation goes to show how seriously they're taking the situation.

    It's not as though SE has been silent about the situation, their limitations, and the efforts they've taken to prepare for this. From my understanding of what's been said during the Live Letters and written statements prior to launch, the team exhausted every option they had available and *clearly communicated* this to us.

    Every company right now is experiencing logistics and/or supply issues. The company I work for makes liquid products and we've not been able to get the bottles we use to package our stuff. When we've been able to find alternate suppliers, the lead time has exceeded 6 months; often exceeding 9. That's simple PET and HDPE plastic bottles, not technical equipment requiring specialized components. The world is still going through the repercussions of an event that hasn't impacted the global community to such an extent since the Spanish Flu. Given the global connectivity, I feel comfortable saying the past two years have been unprecedented.

    Keep in mind that EA was early access to the new software, not additional time added to the subscription period. At no time did they indicate the EA period was time given *in addition to* the previously bought play time. Those of us who bought it still have a valid license to use the software when we're able to under the terms of service we agreed to.


    It's completely valid to be angry that you can't play the game as you had hoped. You're well within your rights to express this dissatisfaction here on the forums. However, like any situation between two parties, having empathy and patience will serve you well.

    I did actually.
    I even used Math to illustrate that 7 days you did not pay for..is indeed 7 Free Days.
    I can do it again if you, he, or anybody else is still confused by Simple Math

    For the majority of people they are still able to play, like myself. However, there is also the point that you paid for 30 days subscription. That subscription does not guarantee access. You got what you paid for, your subscription. Do you complain that when they take the servers offline for a day for a patch, that you didn't get your one day back? This is free subscription time, plain and simple. You are just trying to create outrage where it isn't needed. Also, Yoshi-P stated that more time would be given if needed.

    Whether you think it is free time, proactive-refund, or PR move, here is the fact: you pay zero cent for those extra 7 days, and potentially more, that SE offers to you. Also, house demolition is also suspended, so no worry about your hard-earned house goes puff into smoke, assuming the situation prolongs 45 days or more.


    I don't really know what you people want more. Technically, SE already did everything it can: try to get more servers - fail cuz global shortage; warn you ahead of time so that you know what to expect and prepare - pretty much your own fault trying to compete with thousands of other early-access loggers; add World Visit (works for me most of the time, sometimes no) to ferry you to other servers in case of congestion; offer technical advice about Internet connection; offer free/extra/compensation sub days, whatever you want to call it; halt house demolition; and potentially more actions if the situation doesn't get better.
