Creepy ffxiv Bots

so let me get this strait Thevedis thinks these lalafels are on auto follow. hmm iirc auto follow does not target and cancel target like the behavior in the video i posted.

i could set up a 24/hour bot cam and stream that but its a machine and who the fuck would watch that.


from what ive been told so far these bots are leve bots. they stand there activate leves whilst another bot goes and kills the sheep. when the bots run out of leves they break and just cycle through their targets.

also from what i gather from reading previous post thevedis sure seem like a hardcore bot defender. TBH he is probaly a botter his defensive posts sure haven't helped him any

im not saying they are bots, im not syaing they are not

im saying you as a player do not determine that so demanding they be banned cuz you are the proof isnt gonna cut it

keep reporting them, one day they will get caught in the act of doing something wrong if there is in fact something wrong being done



maybe i should claim you are a bot and you are just trying to eliminate your rmt competition? i dont need proof, i said so therefore thats how it has to be right? thats basicaly what everyone here is claiming, their word should be all that matters in the judgement, no investigation is needed

they do ban the ones they catch doing something

the problem is, not all of them are always botting, and just perhaps...what they are doing isnt botting


i can just imagine the person sitting there 8 boxing it with his main and 7 mules all doing leves together
and a gm goes to investigate, and all he sees is 7 people sitting afk, and now and then hitting a button to start a leve
still nothing illegal there

then he sees the high person completing them

still not illegal

if they try to talk to said afk people who are actively gaining exp, the person using all 8 of them can easily respond on any of them that he happens to see said message on

hes not afk, hes just playing all 8 characters, again, nothing illegal there



as long as no 3rd party software is being used that is deemed illegal by the TOS, then no rule is bring broken



thats the problem, we may see it as being wrong(i personaly dont like them either) but when it comes down to it, a rule has to be broken in order for them to be punished, and no one seems to be able to point out what rule is actualy being broken

all i see is a bunch of people claiming they are botting, but how are they botting? 7 people afk while 1 person is actively completing all the leves is NOT botting unless they have a program somehow doing it all for them, which no one has been able to prove yet, and im sure SE is looking at them and seeing the exact same thing i am trying to explain to you.

OJ was easy to defend

as someone who actualy knows how the law works, he was 100% innocent under the system we have in america

was he guilty as far as having actualy commited the crime? probly, but since they couldnt prove it, well, thats how it goes down

In america, we do not punish people for what we can not prove, even if we know they did it, we still have to prove it

A reasonable person with a couple months of playing experience in this game could determine that these are bots. Why is it so hard for you to say "Yes this looks like a bot" when the evidence is right in your face? Just make a decision already, none of this vagueness.

i have seen video proof of people being bots in the past, some of them actualy show a bot, some of them just show people doing something suspicious that isnt necesarily a bot, but its obvious the person posting it doesnt approve of it

an example of a bot video, go look up the one on desperado, he actualy got a suspension after he was caught(not banned) and was gone for almost 6 months before he popped back up after disappearing

something was done about him, just not what we expected

there are several others i have seen banned for actualy getting caught(not video related)


but if you show me a video, with 8 people on autofollow, and 1 person just going out and completing leves, thats not bot proof, you have to actualy be able to tell they are really botting, not just that you are suspicious of them and they "might" be a bot


a good example, i shoulda recorded the other day, someone out at humblehearth hacking/botting mining

i saw them gather from a node 8 times, then bring their pickaxe out and gather it again 8 times, then again 8 times, then again 8 times

it was 100% obvious they were doing something illegal, thats the kind of proof you need

im not saying they are innocent, im telling you to prove they are bots

ive proven bots in the past and gotten them banned, ive done the legwork, have you?
