Which is nice of you. And you admit you don't have much gil because you choose to spend it instead of save it.

The others who complain about being poor just need to admit the same thing - they're poor because they choose to be.

There's an issue with Gil Inflation only because of the fact that there's too much gil generation to be had from doing certain things like cookies. By nerfing or removing the gil generation, you impact that economy by reducing the availability of said currency through levequests. This incentivizes use of the Roulette system that already gives a lot of gil if you're playing the Adventurer in Need role multiple times a day. It adds up pretty easily in a whole week. After Endwalker releases and I hit Lv cap, I'm going to see how much I can make if I do all my roulettes in a week straight.
The problem goes a bit farther than just gil generation. The gil cap itself is a problem because it allows for a massive amount of gil to accumulate far above the most expensive purchase in the game. If the largest single transaction in the game is 50 million gil, why is gil cap 999,999,999 instead of something like 55 or 60 million? Even worse, that number can be multiplied with each retainer the character has since retainers have a separate gil cap. The more gil players can accumulate, the more they're willing to spend to buy from other players and that puts those large amounts into circulation.
