What is so hard about being polite? There are ways to talk to people not at them all hostile. It's perfectly acceptable to let someone know they screwed up without being a jerk about it. As far as this community goes everyone one has an opinion and mine is and has been mostly positive except for the forums. I think that reason is people coming here who don't really play and are bored so they start these conversations with sensational titles such as this one. So I disagree with the OPs opinion.

Yes they swore at people who were afk in a pvp match. That’s pretty warranted. I understand for some in this community getting sworn at can just be the absolute worst thing in the world and it may make you have a breakdown but for most that isn’t the reality. People swear at other people. That’s a reality, it’s the world we live in, it’s called being human and having emotions. At the end of the day, it’s literally words on a virtual screen. If someone takes heavy offense to words in a virtual game then i genuinely feel bad and hope they get well soon. I can’t imagine living a life where every little thing is seen as a personal attack or weapon.

Such things don't generally bother me, personally. My time is precious and I consider most other people's time to be precious as well. If people are deliberately throwing a PvP match in order to 'lose faster' or 'feed the enemy points' or the like then I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep if someone chooses to get frustrated and call them out.

Some people are just hot headed after all. It's a personality trait and I rather suspect the attempts to 'fix' and 'punish' such people are unlikely to lead anywhere pleasant. In no small part due to how it often overwhelmingly impacts and excludes people who grew up in rougher environments.

I'm not at all suggesting that players who swear shouldn't ever be punished. To me it's more so a matter of context. In a fair world, if someone is banned for swearing at another player for throwing a match then the player throwing the match would be banned as well.

It's really interesting me that you can see how it's just "words on a screen" when someone is verbally harassing others and that anyone who doesn't like it is just soft, but you can't use the same train of thought to understand that it's "just a game" in the first place and maybe you shouldn't be so in your feelings about it that you have to take it out on other people.

In my experience Irl, usually after they say what they need to say to the person they don't like, they can atleast be civil with them. I know I've been like that a few times. That's preferable to thinking you're cool with someone only to find out that, No, you in fact are not cool, and they hate you to quite an extreme degree. Which is also something I'm quite familiar with. xD

I agree with this when it's someone I actually know and will interact with on a regular basis.

It's quite different, imo, when it's strangers on the internet that I have literally no connection to and I might only ever interact with them again by some rare circumstance.

After having been here since June or July I can say this is the biggest lie that this game's player base tells and I am sick of it. This entire problem is promoted by the heavy handedness of this games harassment policies, making it impossible to have fights and arguments in a attempt to resolve problems that instead encourages passive aggressive behavior that is just as detrimental if not worse. At least when there is fights and arguments people know where another stands, what the problem is instead of attempting to ghost and being child like. If someone has done something wrong, no matter how petty one may perceive it no one is allowed to be critical.

I am absolutely disgusted, and I hate this concept of people wanting to talk, be social and make friends one minute but without warning having done nothing people suddenly refuse to speak. It's flat out hypocritical and disingenuous.

Just talk to people in game like you would talk to your gran, its not hard. You can point out you found her phone in the fridge without blasting her with a barrage of degenerate filth. And if you can't you probably need a time out.

Cursing all the time is terrible communication anyway, if you're always unhinged and swearing your head off the first time you really need to emphasis something you have nowhere to elevate to. Someone who never shouts or swears will immediately get everyone's attention when they finally do. We all meet loads of people who moan and complain all the time and everyone ignores them when they do, we are much more likely to accommodate or find a solution for people who rarely do, we at least take what they say far more seriously.

Noone is asking you to out up with anything just saying what your calling unstable,cruel, or trolling isnt thats the joy of gaming there is supposed to be no "normality".

Games give choices you can block,ignore etc a person however you would rather not use the system giving. Instead you use the game makers rules to shove your real life normal bs on people making gaming more and more into everone being the same and drone like behavior.
As I said before people cursing at another is heat of the moment, plus could be stressing over real life bs using the game as an escape.
