Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

I like their hempen top. I have quite a few outfit designs using it (it's a great neutral, and dyes well), they are overall very easy to glamour, and have decent animations. The race itself, I do not like. I'd prefer it if au ra could use the miqo'te hempen top - which is what I have been requesting for years. I want to have hempen sets available for other races.

If you are curious, looking at your join date, I was inactive for a large portion of 2020, until about mid-late November, if I recall. I was an Au Ra at that time, then I eventually switched to miqo'te, and I was stressed out about how much money I was spending on fantasias. I thought maybe, since I enjoy making outfits, miqo'te would be the easiest. Unfortunately, as I have said, I do not like the race. I cannot stay as one, because of this singular reason. I stopped playing the game around mid-late February or early March 2021, then in about June I started playing a little again, and switched back to my actual primary race: au ra. Swearing off fantasias yet again. I haven't really played the game since June or so. I log in OCCASIONALLY to do a roulette when bored, and log in to keep my house.

These past few months you see me posting on the forums? I'm not playing the game. The last time I played FFXIV, I did a leveling roulette, and logged out. This was sometime in October. You will know if I am actively playing, when I am posting screenshots of my character.

though having said that, I'd personally could never play a race I don't like for glam purposes only, but everyone's different about that stuff

to keep it at least a little bit on topic, I'd love for the femhroths to look like the earlier fanart, could have 2 faces for the more 'beastlike' look with a roe body and the more feminine 'cute' versions built upon highlanders, but that'd prob be a mess to code

It's why I know femroe bodies look awful. They look terrible in just about every single outfit piece you can possibly find. They kind of look good in armor, I suppose. Femhroth would look equally as terrible as femroe in most outfits, if they actually were going to utilize that body, and actually even worse if they were hunched over. Fortunately, what little we have seen of femhroth art, shows them with a more hourglass shape, and slimmer than femroe. So, it's unlikely we will get something like that. For that matter, I've always thought Roes in general looked terrible, like male roes too I mean. I think male hroth should have been more thin as well, but they do appeal to a certain niche.

You don't know they look awful, you think. And you're welcome to think it but that doesn't make it objective fact.

I do find them difficult to work with, but when you find the right style of pieces they can look very good in things other than armour.

You really need to get off of this Popularity thing.....its not even an argument. And your taste doesn't resonate with everybody, hurry up and learn to accept that.
Different people have different taste. Some things appeal to a Broader Base then others. Everybody should be able to get the Flavor they like.
The "Pretty" Crowd has all types of Flavors to chose from...meanwhile the Beastmen Crowd, only has one. And we are hoping our next one will be good to.

If they decided to come out with incredibly niche designs, on an already niche racial concept, it would be a complete waste of resources, dev time, and money. Regardless of it supposedly making the game's racial options more diverse, and "completing" hrothgar as a race. Just go and try to sell a product that isn't popular.

That or it just makes more sense to focus more attention on 1 thing over splitting it between 2 things? More time put into something and then doing the next makes both better?
Whichever one came out first isn't relevant, the point is yes, Female Hrothgar, or Hrothgar in general are Niche. The popularity of the races, isn't an argument or a factor in their creation. If they have a fanbase, small or big, its not a waste of time or Resources. They made it clear this isn't even the concern with the race, they were made as another option that the game lacks.
If they cared that much about the Monetization of the race and this more "popular" option would be better, they wouldnt have made the Hrothgar to begin with, or they wouldn't have made them the way they are.

The "Missing Gender" of this Race will be appealing to the Niche it Fills. Thats bigger then you want to give it credit.

I have said before – her arms look too skinny. It doesn't match her overall proportions.

Another thing to consider with the curvier hips is that it's something they're freed up to do when the character uses a custom all-in-one body piece and not something that has to consider clipping or fitting under any chest piece the player chooses to equip.

For comparison with a normal Roegadyn (closest pose/outfit I have on hand)...



I don't think it's much different but the normal model looks fine to me and the supposedly "better" model for Gunnhildr does not.

Is it the pose? Am I imagining it? Gunnhildr looks wrong to me every time I see her.
